This morning's porridge run! We fed 263 children this morning and st had to send some away when the porridge was up.

Hi All

I trust you are all well.

We are in the last few weeks of feeding before school closes for the year 2019. We have had significant increase in numbers in the morning, the highest was 271 for one morning.

We will be having our year end party on
Friday 6th December 2019 at 3pm

You can still be a part of this initiative as we still have some items on our list that are still needed!

You are welcome to choose something off the list or make a monetary donation.
Get your family, friends, colleagues and everyone involved. We cannot do this on our own and need your support.

Volunteers are needed for the day, please let us know if you are able to assist us for the day or for
an hour or two.

You will notice that numbers have changed on the list below, as we have already had some pledges.

Sausage ( we would prefer to buy Nippy wors at Busy Corner Butcher in Grassy Park)
Rolls (350 hotdog rolls)
Onions x 1 pockets
Sweet chillie sauce (5 x 750ml)
Tomatoe sauce (4x 750ml)
Fishoil ( 5x 2 liters)
Frozen chips ( 20 x 2.5kg)
Cooldrinks (300x 500ml)
Containers (350)

All items to be in by 30th November 2019.

Hi All

I trust this email finds you well and definitely in good spirits after that awesome victory of our Springbok boys!🏈🏈🏈

Dave and I are so thankful to God for using an angel in the from of man to assist us to feed the children until the last day of school! We doing our happy dance! 😁😁🎉🎇🎊🎆 Our hearts are filled with so much gratitude for this kind gesture and and an answer to prayer.

News Flash:
Our date for the children's party will be on Friday the 6th December 2019 @ 3pm(15h00)

We need volunteers for the day, if you are available and would like to assist us please let's know. Even if you can only spare and hour it will be much appreciated.

This video and photo was taken on Friday morning when it was raining nonstop.
Even though the weather was really really bad the kids still came and we fed150 children that morning. All glory to God👏👏

Hi All

We trust this email finds you well on this lovely day!

We are missing the children and the feeding so so much! The children come up to us in the road and ask why we not serving porridge anymore. They asking us if they not having a party in December. These are the little things they look forward to amidst the violence, gangsterism and poverty.
It saddens our heart that due to the lack of finances we cannot continue the feeding scheme to this beautiful children. Therefore we would like to end on good note with the children

So Dave and I have been praying and talking....
We would like to end off this chapter on a good note together with all of you our sponsors.

We would like to have one last event before we close off on the 7th December 2019 @ 2pm. Volunteers you are needed one last time to help us on the day.

We endeavor to give them a boerewors roll and chips with a cooldrink.
Nothing fancy, no fanfare, just to feed them that on the day. So it wouldn't be like our other end of year parties.

Hi All

I trust you are all well on this beautiful day! Apologies for the delay in our news letter this month
I've been Ill and I guess I have also been putting off writing this letter.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to pen this letter.
This will be our last week of feeding even though it will be school holidays next week.

Our supplies are up and our resources have really dwindled. We stretched what we have as best we can. Since our inception in February 2016 we have had tremendous joy in serving these children. We've seen them grown from babies going to grade R and primary school and our bigger children at high school. We are saddened by this.
Some people asked about our end of year party. We cannot plan a once off party and not see to the need of the day to day feeding. To date from January 2019 we have served 30 092 bowls of porridge.

We would like to take this opportunity to THANK each one of you who have sowed so generously into the organization. We really do appreciate it and we could never have done it without your financial help. We would never have been able to pull off our events without you our VOLUNTEERS. THANK you THANK you. God has been gracious and has seen us through this period and if He wants us to continue He will surely make a way.

May God continue to bless you and your entire household in every area of your lives.

If anything changes we will inform you of it.

Hi All

We trust you are all well and keeping warm in the last month of winter.🌂☔☔

This has been the wettest winter we have had in a long time and we are greatful for the rain, even though it makes our work impossible. When it rains our carport where we serve is flooded and serving the children becomes unpleasant. They cannot sit on the benches or at the tables and have to stand and eat. Some of them already come soaking wet to get their porridge and the rain, wind and dark does not deter them from coming. But we will continue to do what we love and that is to serve.

We also want to take this opportunity to thank you our faithful sponsors who have generously sowed into the organisation. We are very greatful for your generosity. We pray Gods continued blessing on you and your family in ever area of your lives!

We have however had a dip in our sponsors due to unforseen circumstances which mean our resources are dwindling. We currently only have sufficient supplies for the next two weeks. Because of the cold extra gas is used as the water takes longer to heat up for the porridge.
If you would like to be part if this organization or can assist in anyway, please do not hesitate to contact us on the numbers listed below.

Please also keep us prayer as we deal with different children with different personalities, and various situations. We know with pray God can change situations around.

We are busy planning our end of year party and will send through details shortly.
