Resurrect Life/APTsec - DAILY LIFESTREAM – 4 June 2026
Galatians 5:21-23 GNT I warn you now as I have before: those who do these things will not possess the Kingdom of God. But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these. FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT HAVE OVERFLOW OF GODLINESS. What a list of positives that Paul puts into how each one as a human should interact with other humans. This is the outcome expression of "Love your neighbour as yourself" (Lev 19.18/Matt 22:37-39), "Do to others as you would have them do to you" (Matt 7.12/Luke 6.31 - the Golden Rule), and "Love one another as I have loved you" (John 13.34/15.12 - Jesus' New Commandment). Paul had no illusions about human nature: it can't achieve what Jesus gave example of. Therefore choose the life of the Spirit of God in us, for He the Holy Spirit overflows the greatest depth of human spirit when He leads our Spirit.

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT HAVE NO LAWLESSNESS. Paul evangelized and pastored in a time of great mis-expression of life into sinful evils. The feelings of the human nature 'drove' individuals into ungodly, unholy, unrighteous expressions of wilful anti-social behaviours. It was their choice. Indivduals, Hebrew and Gentile, were in belonging to the 'kingdom of deceit' by their wilful human nature exploits. He had given a working list in verses 19-21. Paul had taken on Jesus' preaching that the Kingdom of God was near and among us in Jesus' gospel. He had seen the final victory in Jesus resurrected. Now humans should choose right - the Spirit of the Saviour, not wilful feelings.

Galatians 5:18-21 GNT If the Spirit leads you, then you are not subject to the Law. What human nature does is quite plain. It shows itself in immoral, filthy, and indecent actions; in worship of idols and witchcraft. People become enemies and they fight; they become jealous, angry, and ambitious. They separate into parties and groups; they are envious, get drunk, have or**es, and do other things like these. EXPRESSIONS OF THE HUMAN NATURE. The apostle who had persecuted Jesus' people because he felt that was his 'cancelling drive' was Paul. Then he met Jesus on the Damascus Road and knew that the feeling of his human nature to overlord others, and cancel them, had misled him. How often modern wilful human nature feelings express in ways that want to cancel God's ways in Jesus. Paul lists them, same in his time as for many falsehood feelings in our time. Same lawless outcomes results, same deceptions and self-deceit. Paul took over Jesus' call to be born again into the new life of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:16-17 What I say is this: let the Spirit direct your lives, and you will not satisfy the desires of the human nature. For what our human nature wants is opposed to what the Spirit wants, and what the Spirit wants is opposed to what our human nature wants. These two are enemies, and this means that you cannot do what you want to do.
HOLY SPIRIT LIFE, NOT FEELING AND WANTS. "How do you feel about that?" has become one of the strongest distortions of modern time. Beyond child age (when it is expected), many are wilfully choosing, being misled, or even being groomed, into satisfying how they feel. A whole host of human nature desires, or older Bible carnality, from greed to dissolute (easy, wilful) sexualities, to identity crises are all bubbling into a the modern melting pot of anti-social crises. Most often these were called sin. When Paul leads up to his preaching on Fruit of the Spirit, he's direct. Human nature feelings trend sinfully. These aren't the Spirit. Find His flow.

Resurrect Life/APTsec - DAILY LIFESTREAM – Sunday, 31 May 2026
Ephesians 4:13-14 And so we shall all come together to that oneness in our faith and in our knowledge of the Son of God; we shall become mature people, reaching to the very height of Christ's full stature. Then we shall no longer be children, carried by the waves and blown about by every shifting wind of the teaching of deceitful people, who lead others into error by the tricks they invent. GROWING EACH ONE’S JESUS FAITH, IN GROWING CHURCHES. So many Christians come to faith in Jesus Christ and then move into individual customer type behaviour – me, my experience, my needs, and that’s what God must provide. Our relationship with God in Jesus is personal, not a market driven product, but a personal growth relationship. The ‘Holy Spirit baptised’ forgiven new life in us does not really grow if we only engage in ‘customer-like’ manner. As faith guideline, we need the apostolic and prophetic Word of Old and New Testament, which is all we have left of the revelation apostles and prophets and evangelists. The pastors and teachers who respect, train and use these to lead our individual faith and church communions in growth, then give us the spiritual leading into personal spiritual empowerment and church communion. This is always under the One Son of God Saviour who is always the One overall Good Shepherd. We are never alone just to be stuck, bogged down, depressed. Through all the storms and droughts and competitive challenges of life, each Christian and every church has Jesus and the Holy Spirit gifts as ‘Paraclete’ Helper, Comforter and Counsellor with us. God has made our Jesus way of victory in life.

Resurrect Life/APTsec - DAILY LIFESTREAM – 30 May 2026
Ephesians 4:11-12 It was he who "gave gifts to people"; he appointed some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, others to be pastors and teachers. He did this to prepare all God's people for the work of Christian service, in order to build up the body of Christ. JESUS, BAPTISER IN THE HOLY SPIRIT, SPIRITUAL GIFT GIVER TOO. Ephesians 4.8-10 make it very clear that Jesus who ascended to God’s right hand, is the giver of the gifts of His Holy Spirit. In Bible teaching this is Paul’s equal passage to John’s Paraclete passages about Jesus sending the Holy Spirit (John 14.26 / 15.26 / 16.7-15). Jesus is not just the Baptiser in the Holy Spirit within the individual one-on-one New Covenant God keeps with each of us. Individual believers also need connectivity, co-ordination in joint efforts, faith building by the Word, and the pastoring of the Good Shepherd. These come by the Holy Spirit gifts of leadership.

Ephesians 4:7, 11 Each one of us has received a special gift in proportion to what Christ has given. [11] It was he who “gave gifts to people”; he appointed some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, others to be pastors and teachers. LEADERSHIP GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Like the Ephesian spirituality context of great division and not unity, Church leadership can be highly factional and denominational, with high levels of legalisms and jealousies of others’ spiritual opinions and skills. Paul strove and taught very strongly that Jesus had the success of 'divsion of spiritual leadership' working in unity, rather than each individual doing the 'too many chiefs and not enough workers' factionalism. Apostles, prophets and evangelists of Paul's time were revelatory, as in the Holy Spirit was using them in God's self-revealing in Jesus. Since the self-revealing in Jesus is complete, apostles and prophets and evangelists revelation witness is complete at their death. Those who remain are pastors of churches, and teachers who support them by the deepening of teaching of the Word come to us from the apostles. Pastors and teachers can only be under he Word of Jesus' apostles, or be false.

Ephesians 4:7-8 Each one of us has received a special gift in proportion to what Christ has given. As the scripture says, “When he went up to the very heights, he took many captives with him; he gave gifts to people.” APOSTOLIC SPIRITUAL DIVISION OF LABOUR. One of the greatest economic success concepts from Father of capitalism Adam Smith's 1776 "Wealth of Nations" was 'division of labour', that as even small-scale production steps or tasks are made labour specialized across an enterprise, it's success becomes far greater than multiple individuals all trying to carry out each step on their own. His 'pin manufacture' example was quite clear. 1800 years earlier, apostle Paul gave an early Holy Spirit and spiritual usage of this same concept, in Ephesians focussed on Church leadership. Jesus' Church will be more successful when each one's gift or skill is given it's appropriate place. In Spirit-led leadership, first apostles, then prophets, evangelists, pastors and then teachers. John Calvin's teaching of this is probably it's best presentation.

Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body and one Spirit, just as there is one hope to which God has called you. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism; there is one God and Father of all people, who is Lord of all, works through all, and is in all. THE ONE GOD OF ALL LANGUAGES AND PEOPLES. One God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit in Trinity, is the simplest expression of how Christians understand our One God subsequent to the resurrection and ascension of Jesus. Jesus beyond death and time and seatd at God's right hand is best understood in trinity manner. And our One God is then the only God of all peoples, and has His intent of love that all will come to Him in His amazing grace in Jesus, as the Spirit is able to open each person' spirit - or not. God is neither an absent landlord nor an asleep deity walking by on the other side as our lives head for perishing, but Lord of all, working through all for grace's purpose, and in all - though His presence can be rejected, hated and refused for eternal consequence.
