Psalm 66:16 “Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.”

We encourage others by the word of our testimony, telling others what Christ has done for us and continues to do for and and through us in our daily walk with Him.

The Hebrew Meaning: Hebrew: עֵדוּת (ēdūt) from verb עוּד (ūd)- “return, repeat, do again.” Sharing a testimony is viewed and seen as recounting a past act of God's faithfulness as a declaration that He has the power to repeat it.

1 Chronicles 16:8 “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.”

Make known what the Lord has done for you in your life. proclaim your testimony so others may be encouraged by it and stir their faith.

Acts 4:20 (NIV) “As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

It boils down to decisions, we choose to or we do not choose to walk across the room..

Proverbs 29:25
Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

So not be disturbed by what others might think of us. We have a calling to make the Kingdom known here on earth and walk across the room.

Id people do not know of this truth, they do not know, so we have been given the great commission to tell others about Him, without fear.

The Lord delights in our obedience; being obedient to Him and His word and the instructions over our lives. To recognise that we are a priesthood of all believers and be bold enough and obedient enough to walk across the room to others and tell them about the Good news.

1 Samuel 15:22
22 And Samuel said,

“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
as in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
and to listen than the fat of rams.

We are all the priesthood of all believers with a work to do:

1 Peter 2:9
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

What is this work we are all called to do?:

Matthew 28:19-20
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

So when we think we cannot do it, we can be reminded that the Holy Spirit is with us, and He will speak to us and through us as we are obedient to Him.
