Hebrews 4:16
16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

The throne of this Holy God, is encircles with mercy, so that you and I can approach Him, in His awesomeness. But we can approach Him with reverend awe to receive grace and mercy.

The fear of God drives out all other fears.

The holy fear and the reverence and awe of God, when that comes over us we are not drawn away from God, we are drawn to God to receive mercy.

Fear God, but do not be afraid of Him. Our Holy fear of God draws us to Him, it does not chase us away from Him.

2 Corinthians 4:6
6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

The awe, the glory, the holiness of God is displayed in the face of Christ Jesus.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of an intimate walk with Him. It gives insight and brings clarity. It brings Godly direction

The fear of the Lord helps us to mature, and to help us grow in the image and the likeness of God.

It purifies us from unrighteousness producing holiness within us.

The fear of the Lord establishes our identity acceptance and approval.

It deals radically with all other fears; including the fear of man.

The fear of the Lord enables us to leave a legacy and an inheritance.

Even pleasure in our labour, healing of our bodies and much more.

11/06/2026

The fear of the Lord is more than having reverence for Him. Its even more than having love and respect and reverence for Him.

Hebrews 12:28-29
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”

To feat God does mean to reverence Him, but beyond that to be and to live in absolute and complete awe of Him. To fear God is to esteem, to respect to honour and adore Him. And above all else that He has first place in our lives.

To fear God means to love what He loves and to hate what He hates.

Fear God yes, but do not be afraid of Him.

Someone who is afraid of God has something to hide from God. But someone who has a fear of God has nothing to hide because they live with a sense living life so close to God that it keeps me far from sin.

Matthew 10:28
28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
