A message from Pastor Clive:

Good morning Gow Family.

Greetings in the Name of Jesus.

Due to the flood damage we won’t be able to use our church for approximately 5 weeks. As from Sunday 26 April 2026 we will worship in the old church.

I hereby ask the men and youth, and those available to help us preparing the church for the period of time.

I ask all of us to be patient during the restoration time of the church. Now is the time to unite in prayer and to stand together as a family of faith.

God bless Gow Chapel

As a church family, we are reminded that stewardship is not just about giving, it is about partnering with God in the work of ministry.

During this Dollar Month, we invite each member to contribute R100 as a seed into the mission.

Your giving powers outreach, supports ministries, and enables us to continue doing the work we are called to do in our community. Every Rand sown becomes part of a greater purpose.

Early this morning on my way to church I had the privilege of seeing our Catechists doing a walkabout the church and the surrounding area with their Catechist master.

As a church family, let us keep encouraging them, keep praying for them, and be sure to give them a friendly greeting should you see them around 😊

Happy Sunday, family!

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, β€œWhy do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:

β€˜The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ”

When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles.

A moving and somber moment in worship as our Gospel Choir ministered through the powerful selection "Above All."

How blessed are we to to remember that He took the fall and thought of us above all - above the pain, above the rejection, above the hardship ✝️

Together with our AME family across the Boland Annual Conference who also rendered this beautiful song, we were deeply blessed and reminded of the great sacrifice of Christ.

A heartfelt thank you to Sis. Gericka Philander and the choir for blessing us through this ministry of song and for leading us into such a sacred moment of reflection πŸ™πŸΌπŸŽΆ

Last week on Sunday, we gathered in worship to commemorate Palm Sunday, lifting our voices together in joyful praise β€” β€œHosanna! Hosanna to the King!” 🌿🌿

Our Liturgical Dancers blessed us with a beautiful and spirit-filled selection. We are grateful for their ministry and the way they help us worship through movement and expression.

As we journeyed through this Lenten season, we give thanks for the grace that allowed us to reflect on and carry the death of Jesus, so that His life may also be revealed in us. ✝️

And tomorrow… we gather again with victorious hearts to proclaim the good news: He is Risen! πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸŒ…

Thank you to the ministry of the Liturgical Dancers and to everyone who joined us in worship. We look forward to celebrating the resurrection together!

As we journey through this sacred season, we pause on Good Friday to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ β€” the ultimate act of love, mercy, and redemption.

The cross reminds us of the price that was paid for our redemption, and the unfailing grace poured out for all humanity. On this solemn day, we gather in reflection and worship.

We invite you to join us as we meditate on the meaning of the cross and the depth of Christ’s love.
