Yesterday the Presbytery of Kraaifontein celebrated the closing of Pentecost at URCSA Kraaifontein.

A powerful reminder through God’s Word that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, and that we are led by the Spirit as children of God. May the fire of Pentecost continue to strengthen and guide us daily. 🙏🔥

Rest in Paradise Rev Trevor N Links

URCSA CAPE MOURNS THE PASSING OF REV TREVOR N LINKS

The URCSA Cape Moderamen is devastated by the news of the passing of Rev Trevor Nolan Links. Rev Links was admitted to hospital last week and passed away on Friday, 22 May 2026 at the 2 Military Hospital.

In this moment of grief, we want his family, his congregation, and all who walked alongside him in ministry and life to know, you do not stand alone. As a church we carry this grief and pain with you.

Rev Links has pastored many congregations over the years (URC St Helenabaai, URC Mafikeng-Danville, URC Reigerpark and URC Strand). At the time of his passing he was the Minister of URCSA Goodwood congregation. He also served as a Chaplain in the Defense Force.

Rev Links gave himself in service to God’s people with faithfulness and dedication. He was a gifted preacher, passionate about music and blessed with a beautiful sense of humour. He could find a spark of light in every moment and did so with his own unique style. We have all been blessed by his life and ministry.

We want to thank all our ministers, congregations and friends who prayed these past few days for Rev Links while he was in hospital. We know that for those who are in Christ, death is not the final word.

To the family of Rev Trevor Links: May the God of all comfort, surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding and with the warmth of a community that grieves with you.

As a church we continue to hold the family in our prayers. We share generously in the words of Psalm 147:3 - He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
