Friendship With Jesus.

We’d like it to be easier, but friendship is hard—because we’re all working with sinful people (including ourselves). So when I think about being Jesus’ friend, I think it might be easier. After all, he’s perfect. What’s so hard about being his friend?

Well, to be his friend, he turns our focus back to the people around us: “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends (family/neighbors). You are my friends if you do what I command” (John 15:12-14).

That makes friendship so much joyful! To be called Jesus’ friend, we love others completely, sacrificially. We give, even when we’re hurt. We put aside our self-centeredness in order to serve. We lay down our lives because our friend Jesus laid down his. His love has been poured in our hearts by Holy Spirit. By this we shall be known to be the friends of Jesus.

God has given us lots of things, yet there are things He hasn't given us.
Like - a Spirit of fear -
Fear harbors - hate, disrespect, uncontrollable emotions. When these are portrayed, fear is the backbone and it can crumble any time without warning.
The Spirit of power, the spirit of love, the spirit of a sound mind is on offering, given by God, take hold of it and experience God's peace in your life.
God's peace which is also given, not as the world give it, but a peace that goes beyond man's understanding. John 14:27. God's peace removes fear out of the equation.

John 3:3 ... Accept a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.

The kingdom which Jesus is referring to is;
righteousness, peace and joy in Holy Spirit;
- God's Righteousness
- God's Peace
- God's Joy
Jesus introduced us to God's kingdom. Holy Spirit enables us to live God's kingdom life, here on earth.

We extend to you an invitation to come to know God and His kingdom.

Ephesians 4:30 And do not grief the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Verse 31 - this how Holy Spirit is griefed - bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking, malice. Because He cannot reside with them in the same place.

Instead make Holy Spirit rejoice, let Him delight in you, by;
Verse 32) Be kind, tenderhearted, forgiving, as God in Christ forgave us.

Once you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour, you've entered a new life in the kingdom of God.

Matthew 5 - 7 lay out the type of life which is required of us, as born again Christians, to live in God's kingdom.

We have to let go of the old ways of life and choose to live the kingdom of God life.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
I Corinthians 13:1 NKJV

"But have not love," signify, to have the opposite, hate. Sounding brass and a clanging cymbal then, represents and is an exhibit of hate.

Thank You Lord that we have the love of God shed abroad in our hearts by Holy Spirit. Romans 5:5.

We have love. We speak with the tongues of men and of angels with the love of God in our hearts.
