MIDWEEK CHALLENGE:

Take a few honest minutes today and do a mental audit.

What have you been feeding your mind?
Negativity or truth?
Worry or worship?
Complaints or gratitude?

Then choose one thought pattern that has been pulling you in the wrong direction, and replace it with Scripture truth. Speak it out loud. Bring that thought back under the authority of Christ, one moment at a time.

Renew your mind in real time.

MIDWEEK CHALLENGE: The disciples waited and prayed for 10 days before Pentecost. Today, set aside real time to pray. Not rushed. Not distracted. Just honest, focused, expectant prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you again, strengthen you, and make you bold enough to follow His leading in the middle of real life. Then pay attention to what He does next.

The Holy Spirit is not a once-off moment from the past. He is the daily life of God within us.

Pentecost still invites us to be filled, to stay filled, and to keep walking in the Spirit. Not only in church, but in the ordinary places where we serve, lead, forgive, encourage, and show up for others.

Service in power begins with staying close to the Source.

Yesterday we celebrated Pentecost - the day fearful disciples became fearless witnesses.

They didn't serve from their own strength. They served in the power of the Holy Spirit.

And that matters for today, because the same Spirit still fills ordinary people for real life, real pressure, real obedience, and real purpose.

You are not powerless.
You are not inadequate.
You are Spirit-filled and Spirit-empowered.

Tomorrow is Pentecost.

In Acts 2:1-4, ordinary people were filled with the Holy Spirit and given courage for the work in front of them.

That is still what we need: not noise, not pressure, but fresh filling, clear purpose, and gifts that become service to others.

Come expectant, especially if you feel like you have been carrying more than you can name.

Pentecost Sunday reminds us that the Holy Spirit does not only comfort us. He also gives us courage, faith, and gifts that help us serve people with love.

This Sunday we are making room for fresh fire, fresh faith, and a fresh filling as we lean into Gifts for Service. If you have been feeling tired, unsure, or in need of a real encounter with God, come as you are.

Bring someone who needs to be reminded that God still fills ordinary people with power for everyday life.

MIDWEEK CHALLENGE: Use what God has placed in your hands today, even if you are still learning what it is.

If compassion rises in you, show mercy.
If you notice what others miss, offer wisdom.
If you are good with details, serve quietly where it helps.

Your gift does not have to be loud to matter. It grows as you use it, one faithful step at a time.

"As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another..." - 1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV)

Comparison can quietly drain the life out of your calling.

It is easy to look at someone else's gift and wonder if yours matters less because it looks quieter, smaller, or less visible.

But God does not hand out gifts by accident. He places each person in the body with care, purpose, and intention.

The body needs eyes and feet. It needs people who teach, serve, encourage, lead, give, organize, pray, show mercy, and keep showing up when nobody claps.

Your gift is not second-rate because it is different. It is needed because it is yours, and God knows exactly where it belongs.

"But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased." - 1 Corinthians 12:18 (NKJV)

Yesterday we were reminded that spiritual gifts are not about status. They are about service.

God has placed something in each of us that can strengthen someone else. Not so we can be noticed, but so the body can be built up.

When every person brings what God has given them, the whole church becomes stronger. Your gift matters. Your part matters. You are not optional.
