Good morning brethren,
Romans 7:21-24

I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?

This is the battle I've faced the last several weeks. The enemy will find every little crack in our armor. The Bible tells us he prowls around like a roaring lion waiting to devour us. When we give into temptation we let him in. We all have different struggles with temptation anger, greed, lust, sexual immorality, hate, coveting, whatever you are battling in your mind today, remember If you are a child of God Jesus is with you! Then God reminded me of this
scripture this morning,

Romans 8:35-39
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Remember men we are not alone!

Good morning

While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue him from death. And God heard his prayers because of his deep reverence for God. Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him. And God designated him to be a High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.

Jesus learned obedience from his sufferings. So when we suffer, who do we cry out to? Are we cursing people or the situation? Are we looking inward to ourselves? Or are we looking towards the one that can save us from death? Or are we looking for the world to save us? Are we spiritually dull or do we have a great reverence for God, the one who can get us out of our mess? And when we are on the fire, God, is using it to refine us so he can make us in to what he wants us to be not what we think we need to be.

Good morning,
Romans 5:12-16

When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. Yes, people sinned even before the law was given. But it was not counted as sin because there was not yet any law to break. Still, everyone died—from the time of Adam to the time of Moses—even those who did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did. Now Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ, who was yet to come. But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins.

We are so blessed by the free gift of forgiveness. We take it for granted way too much. Our sin cost Jesus his life. By his stripes we are healed. So what I realize is no matter what this world throws at me today, Jesus is enough! All I need is Jesus! So live triumphantly over sin and death through Jesus who gives us a gift of righteousness and grace for all that believe in him!

God is Good!

Good morning
John 1:19-23

This was John’s testimony when the Jewish leaders sent priests and Temple assistants from Jerusalem to ask John, “Who are you?” He came right out and said, “I am not the Messiah.” “Well then, who are you?” they asked. “Are you Elijah?” “No,” he replied. “Are you the Prophet we are expecting?” “No.” “Then who are you? We need an answer for those who sent us. What do you have to say about yourself?” John replied in the words of the prophet Isaiah: “I am a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Clear the way for the LORD’s coming!’”

The the Jewish leaders and priests asked John 3 times who are you? So I ask you, who are you? Are you a redeemed child of the most high God? Or are you a product of the world we live in.? Do you separate yourself from the worldly things? Or do you conform to the world so you blend in to avoid a conflict? Are you a light in the darkness? Or are you a child of the darkness , letting sin control your life?

Luke 3:8-9
Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Don’t just say to each other, ‘We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones. Even now the ax of God’s judgment is poised, ready to sever the roots of the trees. Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire.”

Our time is short, the day of judgement seat of Christ is coming. Are you ready?

Good morning
Romans 7:21-25

Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin.

Men, the war we all face.
It is an everyday battle.

Psalm 40:8
I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart.

The Holy Spirit and our sin nature are two forces constantly fighting against one another inside us all the time.

James 4:1-2
What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.

So how do we fight it?

Romans 6:16
Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.

2 Corinthians 2:14
But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume.

I was struggling this morning but the answer is always in Gods Word!

Good morning!
Ezekiel 47:6-9

He asked me, “Have you been watching, son of man?” Then he led me back along the riverbank. When I returned, I was surprised by the sight of many trees growing on both sides of the river. Then he said to me, “This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea. The waters of this stream will make the salty waters of the Dead Sea fresh and pure. There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows.

In this vision Ezekiel was watching Israel teaches us about restoration through Jesus. It says life will flourish wherever this water flows. Jesus tells us he is the living water and whoever drinks from him will never be thirsty again. This river is a symbol of life from God and the healing and restoration that flows from his throne. You can only get it through Jesus, he tells us, he is the way, the truth and the life!
