There's been an update to the calendar regarding the Parent Meeting AND Apex Launch date. The parent meeting will cover some important changes/ new focuses coming to Apex this year, so it's been moved FROM Labor Day Sunday TO Wed, Sep 9th in hopes of drawing in more families. Please mark the changes in your calendar:

Apex Parent Meeting: Sep 9 at 6:30pm in APEX ROOM.

We've updated the summer reading schedule! If you'd like to join along with us, all you have to do is read the section of scripture assigned for the specific date (don't worry if you've missed the first week).
Then, go through the acronym O.P.A. (Observation, Purpose, Application)

Take a few minutes to identify between 5 and 20 OBSERVATIONS about the text (could be setting, speaker, audience, topic, fun fact, etc.)

Then, write down the PURPOSE. Basically, if you could boil the section down to a single sentence, what would that be? What's the point of the passage?

Finally, write down how you'd APPLY the passage to your life? Is it simply to know something true about Jesus? Does the passage actually want you to respond in some specific way? Think of 1-3 applications from the passage.
