Love INC of South Wood County

Recently, we had a father reach out asking if he and his 11-year-old son could volunteer throughout the year at Love INC! They are active in Trail Life USA, a faith-based, Scout-like organization providing youth mentorship and character development to boys in the United States. The mission of Trail Life USA is to guide generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure.💕 They were excited to be able to volunteer and even brought a friend along!

Steve Stageman (pictured with the boys) is also a volunteer and one of our board members. He worked alongside the father and boys as they filled dirt in along the edges of our parking lot. This was a large project, and we are so thankful for all of their help! (Steve was especially thankful!) We look forward to working with them again in the future!

United Way is hosting their annual Fall Yard Clean-Up to support local seniors and neighbors who are unable to clear their yards this season. Volunteers will be out in force to help rake leaves and clear yard debris at no cost. It’s a great activity for groups or families!

It's almost time to dust off your rakes! Day of Caring will be on October 24, 2026. Volunteer sign up is now open at https://www.uwswac.org/dayofcaring. Make sure you get a free t-shirt by registering early!
