String Break Concert Saturday, October 3rd at 7 pm

Durham-based band String Break will be in Concert here at the UU Congregation of Wilmington on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026 at 7PM. Tickets are $25, and may be purchased at the door (cash or check only) OR you can purchase them from Thea at Coffee hour on/after September 20.

While their roots are in Americana and Bluegrass, String Break has branched out into covering a variety of crowd-pleasing songs from artists like Steve Earle, the Eagles, Buffalo Springfield, The Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, a number of their own original songs and lots more. And you'll get to see Mike Hensen with folks he's played music with for years!

Reclaim Our Votes Postcard Party this Friday, 7pm at UUCW!

Friday, Sept. 11, 7:00-9:00 pm
Sunday, Sept. 20, 12:00-2:00 pm

We will be hosting two “Reclaim Our Vote” postcard parties in Dobkin Hall in September to help fight voter suppression and reach out to voters of color. All materials will be provided, but please bring colored pens if you have them! There will be snacks and fun and childcare provided if you need it (please let us know!). Spread the word to friends, neighbors, and other contacts – we’re committed to sending a LOT of postcards!!!
