Missed Sunday, or want to sit with it again? This week's message is up on our YouTube channel.

Rev. Dr. Tom Murray preached "Let's Get Along" from Romans 14:1-12, on how a divided church in Rome learned that our differences can strengthen us rather than break us apart.

Paul's counsel still lands: welcome one another, stop judging, stay humble, and love.

"Let's Get Along" | Rev. Dr. Tom Murray | Romans 14:1-12 | Windermere Presbyterian Church, Wilmington NC | June 7, 2026

Can our differences tear us apart, or can they actually make us stronger? That was the question Rev. Dr. Tom Murray put to us on the Second Sunday after Pentecost.

Preaching "Let's Get Along" from Romans 14:1-12, he showed how the church in Rome nearly came undone over disputable matters like food and which day to worship, and how Paul called them back to four things: welcome one another, stop judging, stay humble, and love. It was a Communion Sunday, so we gathered at the Lord's Table together.

Scriptures: Psalm 122, Genesis 13:5-12, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, Psalm 133, and Romans 14:1-12.

"Are You Wearing That?" That was the question Rev. Dr. Bob Thompson put to us this Trinity Sunday, May 31, 2026, and it stuck. Preaching from Romans 13, he asked what our lives look like to the people watching us out in the world: at the store, at work, in traffic, with a neighbor. Does grace show? Does it look like Jesus?

His answer came in three parts. Grace in public looks like faith. It looks like love. And it looks like hope. The morning also included the story behind "How Great Thou Art," a children's sermon about trading our pajamas for the armor of light, and a Fifth Sunday Hymn Sing of favorites called out by the congregation.

"Why I Love Churches" | Rev. Dr. Bob Thompson | Romans 12:9-21 | Windermere Presbyterian Church, Wilmington NC | Pentecost, May 24, 2026

What if your church was never meant to be perfect?

On Pentecost Sunday, Rev. Dr. Bob Thompson preached "Why I Love Churches" from Romans 12:9-21 and made the case that the church is a laboratory of grace, the very place where imperfect people learn to love one another like family. With a hilarious story about his "flawless" grandchildren in Hawaii and wisdom borrowed from Bonhoeffer and C.S. Lewis, he called us to be real, to never give up on each other, and to let God be the judge.

Thank you Melissa Rouse Gilardo for such kind comments about our preschool! We will miss your boys and your support! Best of luck always!

Today was such a special day for our family. Watching our sweet Knox graduate preschool was emotional in the best way. Seeing our four-year-old stand in front of a full congregation and confidently say The Lord’s Prayer brought tears to our eyes. We are just so proud of him.
Kindergarten, here we come. ❤️
We truly cannot thank Windermere Presbyterian Preschool enough for the love, guidance, friendships, and foundation they have helped give our boys. The teachers, staff, and families have meant so much to us, and this little school has become such a special part of our lives.
We will miss our Windermere family so much, but we know we’ll definitely be stopping in for visits. Thank you for giving our boys such a beautiful preschool experience and helping shape these early years in such a meaningful way. We are forever grateful.
