In case you haven't noticed from the regular announcements during worship, it's rummage sale season! This event, scheduled for October 17, is one of the biggest parish events of the year and one of our biggest fundraisers.

In these weeks leading up to the event, we are working on:

- collecting donations of items to sell
- signing up volunteers to work on setup the week before the sale and running the sale the day of

Information on making donations and signing up to volunteer is at the link.

Do you love thrifting? Our annual Rummage Sale is an opportunity to shop for clothing, jewelry, and housewares at reduced pricing, with proceeds supporting the mission of St. Margaret’s.

One of the various speeches and writings that Rev. Richard Weinberg talked about in his sermon this morning was a speech given by Mariann Budde, Bishop of the Diocese of Washington. She was the closing speaker at the AI & Church Summit: An Ecumenical Gathering on Artificial Intelligence. At the link below is the text of her speech.

The sermon also referred to a paper (which Bishop Mariann refers to in her speech), AI and Global Impact, by Bishop Andy Doyle of the Diocese of Texas, which he had written for the Anglican Science Commission. Unfortunately, Bishop Doyle's paper is unpublished and is thus not available to be shared here.
