Happy Memorial Day everyone! Let us take a moment and remember all who are serving and served this country. Also, let us remember and honor those who gave their lives for the freedoms we have in America. We thank all the military serving and serve men and women today. On Sabbath, May 16, 2026, Capital Memorial SDA Church joyfully welcomed its newest members, Sarah and Vanessa Kanyabutembo! Sarah and Vanessa were baptized by CMC Senior Pastor Karol Mosebay and Elder Jermaine Ogaja during a special worship service.

We congratulate Sarah and Vanessa and warmly welcome them into the Capital Memorial Church family. We are grateful for their decision to take this important step in their spiritual journey and publicly declare their faith through baptism.

Capital Memorial Church is excited and blessed to celebrate this special occasion. We thank God for His guidance, blessings, and faithfulness in the lives of Sarah and Vanessa as they begin this new chapter of faith.

On Sabbath, March 7, 2026, Capital Memorial SDA Church hosted the wedding blessing ceremony of Andre and Francine Vancky. It was a beautiful and heartfelt service, bringing together family, friends, and members of the CMC community to celebrate the couple.

The ceremony in the CMC Sanctuary was truly inspiring, followed by a wonderful reception in the Fellowship Hall. Both events were filled with joy, love, and fellowship.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Hailu Woldemicheal for capturing such memorable moments throughout the day.

May God richly bless Andre and Francine’s marriage. We are truly grateful they chose to celebrate this special occasion at CMC!

On Friday, April 3, 2026, Capital Memorial SDA Church held its annual Agape Feast event. The evening began with a delicious dinner followed by a special program, during which Pastor Karol delivered a meaningful sermonette. Members, friends, and visitors were also blessed by uplifting praise music from the CMC Praise Group. The service concluded with participants partaking in Communion in remembrance. On Sabbath, March 28, 2026, members and friends of Capital Memorial Church enjoyed a memorable trip to see the cherry blossoms in Washington, DC. The day was sunny and cool, and the blossoms in full bloom made it all worthwhile.

Here are a few photos and videos from the outing. It was a wonderful time of fellowship—walking together around the Tidal Basin, admiring the beautiful trees, and enjoying one another’s company.

A special thank-you to Jose Luis and Monica Gonzalez for organizing and leading the trip, and for making this visit to the cherry blossoms such a meaningful experience for everyone!
