Ahavat Yeshua

Ahavat Yeshua Rooted in the Hebrew Scriptures and the Our weekly Shabbat Services are Saturday beginning at eleven in the morning. You are invited to join us. Ephesians 2:8

Ahavat Yeshua is a Messianic Jewish ministry serving the Washington, DC region with a passion for sharing the love of Messiah Yeshua through biblical teaching, worship, prayer, discipleship, and community outreach. Exodus 20:8 “Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy. Shabbat is a day of praise, worship, spiritual edification, fellowship and food. Following shabbat services we have an Oneg (a d

elight), with food prepared by congregation members. It is the one day (sundown Friday to sundown Saturday) of the week that we set aside to rest and take a break from our routine schedules. Ahavat Yeshua is a Messianic Jewish Congregation located in the District of Columbia with outreach to Northern Virginia and Maryland. We are Jews and non-Jews who believe that Yeshua, Hebrew for Jesus, is the Messiah. So, we are Jews and non-Jews worshiping together and living by the scriptures:

"Hear O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." Deuteronomy 6:4-5

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John' 3:16

Rejecting traditions contrary to scripture, we maintain a Jewish lifestyle and a Jewish style of worship, as a witness to God's faithfulness in preserving Israel and all who accept His love and gift of salvation. We do this as a genuine expression of our love for God. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."

Ride the Path He Has Prepared

Happy National Bicycle Day!

Just as riding a bicycle requires balance, direction, and perseverance, our walk with Adonai calls us to stay focused on His ways and trust Him with every turn along the journey.

The prophet Isaiah reminds us:

“The way of the righteous is straight. Upright One, You make smooth the path of the righteous.” — Isaiah 26:7

Today, whether you’re riding a bicycle, taking a walk, or simply reflecting on your faith journey, remember that the Holy One of Israel goes before you. He removes obstacles, guides your steps, and leads you in paths of righteousness.

Take time today to thank Adonai for His faithful guidance. Pray for wisdom to follow His direction and encourage someone else to stay the course in their walk with Messiah Yeshua.

May we ride forward in faith, trusting the One who makes our paths straight.

🙏 Men of Faith, Rise Up in Health and Strength!

June is Men’s Health Month—a time to encourage the men in our lives to care for their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

As believers, we understand that our bodies are gifts from Adonai and temples of His Spirit. Let us pray for fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, pastors, and friends to walk in wisdom, strength, and health as they fulfill their God-given calling.

Abba Father, we lift up the men of our families, congregations, and communities before You. Strengthen their bodies, renew their minds, and guard their hearts. Grant them wisdom to make healthy choices and courage to seek help when needed. May they grow strong in faith, steadfast in character, and fruitful in Your Kingdom.

As it is written:

“Loved ones, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul.” — 3 John 1:2

Let us commit to praying for and encouraging the men around us today. Tag a man who has been a blessing in your life and speak a word of encouragement over him.

Do Not Be Deceived — Stand Firm in the Truth of Messiah
https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1CD89sCBR6/

Yeshua gave a clear warning to His disciples: “Take heed that no man deceive you.” — Matthew 24:4

We live in a time when truth is often exchanged for lies, and many voices compete for our attention. Yet the answer is not fear—it is faithfulness. The remedy for deception is to remain anchored in the Word of God, led by the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), and fixed upon Yeshua, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Now is the time to search the Scriptures, test every spirit, and hold fast to what is good. Do not be carried away by every wind of doctrine, cultural trend, or persuasive voice. Measure everything against the truth of God’s Word.

The call of this hour is clear: Stay awake. Stay watchful. Stay rooted in Messiah.

May we be found faithful, discerning, and unwavering until His glorious return.

Quote of the Day: God Declares the End from the Beginning

📖 “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.’” — Isaiah 46:10

In a world filled with uncertainty, the God of Israel remains unshaken. Before the first step of our journey was taken, Adonai already knew the destination. His purposes are not delayed by circumstances, and His promises are not hindered by human limitations.

As followers of Yeshua, we can rest in the confidence that God is working all things according to His perfect plan. What seems confusing today is already clear to Him. Trust His timing, walk in faith, and remember that the Author of your story has already written the victorious ending.

🌿Trust the God who knows the end and the beginning. His counsel stands forever, and His faithfulness never fails.

📖 Come Study Beha’alotcha: Let Your Light Shine!

his week’s Torah Portion, Beha’alotcha (“When You Set Up”), invites us into a powerful journey of faith, leadership, and dependence upon Adonai.

From the lighting of the menorah in the wilderness to God’s provision for His people, we are reminded that His presence is our light, His Spirit is our strength, and His mercy is new every morning. Through Zechariah’s vision of the golden lampstand, we hear the timeless declaration: “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the LORD of Hosts (Zechariah 4:6). In Matthew’s Gospel, Yeshua demonstrates that same divine provision as He feeds the multitudes with compassion and abundance.

Join us this week as we explore how God calls His people to shine His light, trust His provision, walk in humility, and serve faithfully in every season.

✨ Come ready to learn.
✨ Come ready to grow.
✨ Come ready to encounter the God of Israel through His Word.

“Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

Throwback Tuesday: Walking in Shabbat Revelations

https://youtu.be/OfgIfy7UXm4?si=nUMFJxZhdeWVwCdK

Every step of obedience reveals more of the Father’s heart. Looking back on the lessons, blessings, and revelations received on Shabbat, we are reminded that God’s appointed times are not burdens, but gifts—sacred encounters designed to draw us closer to Him.

Shabbat teaches us to cease striving and to trust the One who neither slumbers nor sleeps. In the stillness, we hear His voice more clearly. In the rest, we discover His faithfulness anew.

What began as a command becomes a delight; what began as a day becomes a revelation of Messiah Himself—the Lord of the Shabbat.

As we remember past revelations, may they inspire fresh obedience today. The same God who spoke yesterday is still speaking, still leading, and still inviting His people into His covenant rest.

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.” — Exodus 20:8

🌿 Monday Call to Action: Choose Humility, Walk in Wisdom 🌿

As a new week begins, let us examine our hearts before the Lord. Scripture reminds us:

“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” — Proverbs 16:18

In a world that celebrates self-exaltation, the Kingdom of God calls us to humility. Yeshua taught us that true greatness is found in serving, loving, and submitting to the Father’s will.

This Monday, choose humility over pride, gratitude over entitlement, and obedience over self-reliance. Ask the Lord to search your heart, remove every stumbling block, and lead you in His everlasting way. When we humble ourselves before Him, He lifts us up and establishes our steps.

📖 Call to Action: Take a moment today to pray, repent where needed, and surrender every area of your life to the Lord. Walk boldly, but walk humbly—with Yeshua at the center.

International Children’s Day — Let the Children Come to Yeshua

On this International Children’s Day, we celebrate the precious gift of children and the heart of our Messiah toward them.

Yeshua said, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 19:14

Children are not merely the future of the Kingdom; they are a vital part of it today. Their faith, trust, joy, and wonder remind us all what it means to come before our Heavenly Father with humble hearts.

May we pray for the next generation, teach them the ways of Adonai, and create opportunities for them to know, love, and follow Yeshua. Let us be faithful to pass on the truth of God’s Word so that His light will shine brightly through them for generations to come.

Today, bless a child, encourage a family, and remember that every young life is precious in the sight of the Lord.

📖 Psalm of the Day: Established by His Word

“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.” — Psalm 119:133-135

As followers of Messiah Yeshua, our greatest security is found in walking according to God’s Word. When our steps are established by His truth, sin loses its grip, fear loses its voice, and His peace becomes our guide.

Invite the Lord to direct every step you take. Seek His face above every distraction, trust His instruction above every opinion, and allow His light to illuminate your path. The One who teaches His ways also empowers us to walk in them.

May the face of Adonai shine upon you today and fill your heart with wisdom, strength, and unwavering faith.
