Ahavat Yeshua

Ahavat Yeshua Rooted in the Hebrew Scriptures and the Our weekly Shabbat Services are Saturday beginning at eleven in the morning. You are invited to join us. Ephesians 2:8

Ahavat Yeshua๏ฟผ is a Messianic Jewish ministry serving the Washington, DC region with a passion for sharing the love of Messiah Yeshua through biblical teaching, worship, prayer, discipleship, and community outreach. Exodus 20:8 โ€œRemember the sabbath day to keep it holy. Shabbat is a day of praise, worship, spiritual edification, fellowship and food. Following shabbat services we have an Oneg (a d

elight), with food prepared by congregation members. It is the one day (sundown Friday to sundown Saturday) of the week that we set aside to rest and take a break from our routine schedules. Ahavat Yeshua is a Messianic Jewish Congregation located in the District of Columbia with outreach to Northern Virginia and Maryland. We are Jews and non-Jews who believe that Yeshua, Hebrew for Jesus, is the Messiah. So, we are Jews and non-Jews worshiping together and living by the scriptures:

"Hear O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." Deuteronomy 6:4-5

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John' 3:16

Rejecting traditions contrary to scripture, we maintain a Jewish lifestyle and a Jewish style of worship, as a witness to God's faithfulness in preserving Israel and all who accept His love and gift of salvation. We do this as a genuine expression of our love for God. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ™ PRAY FOR THE LABORERS IN AMERICA | FAITH, WORK & PURPOSE ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

โ€œPray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.โ€ โ€” Matthew 9:38 KJV

Today we pray for the laborers and workers across the United Statesโ€”farmers, construction workers, healthcare workers, teachers, manufacturers, truck drivers, service workers, first responders, business owners, skilled tradespeople, and everyone whose daily work helps sustain our communities and economy.

๐Ÿ’ผ Why do laborers matter to the U.S. economy?

Workers are the foundation of America's economy. Their skills, time, creativity, and dedication produce goods, provide essential services, care for others, build communities, transport resources, grow food, and keep businesses operating.

๐Ÿ™ Lord, strengthen America's workers.
๐Ÿ”จ Provide jobs for those seeking employment.
๐Ÿช– Protect workers from injury.
๐Ÿค” Give wisdom to employers and leaders.
๐Ÿ’ฐ Provide for families facing financial pressure.
๐Ÿ›Œ Restore those who are weary and
๐Ÿค— Encourage those who feel unseen or undervalued.

๐Ÿ“œ ๐Ÿ“– And above all, Adonai, send laborers into Your harvest!

๐Ÿคฒ Raise up faithful men and women who will serve others and boldly share the hope we have in Yeshua the Messiah.

๐Ÿ™ Pray for the workers.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Pray for America.
๐ŸŒพPray for the harvest.
๐Ÿ“– Pray for laborers who will serve the Kingdom of God.

โ€œThe harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few.โ€ โ€” Matthew 9:37 KJV

This is a time to examine our hearts, return to Adonai, and make room for what He desires to do in us.

๐Ÿ‘ฃ Adonai desires to fill our lives with wisdom to make godly decisions, knowledge to understand His ways, and joy that comes from walking with Him.

๐Ÿ“– ITโ€™S BOOK DAY! โ€” THE BOOK OF BOOKS!

Today is Book Day, and what better way to celebrate than by opening the Book of Booksโ€”the Bible! ๐Ÿ“œ

The Bible is more than a collection of stories. It is the Word of God, revealing His character, His promises, His purposes, and His redemptive plan fulfilled in Yeshua the Messiah.

๐Ÿ“– Read it.โค๏ธ Receive it.๐Ÿ™ Pray it.๐ŸŒฟ Live it.

โ€œThy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.โ€ โ€” Psalm 119:105 KJV

Whether you read a chapter, a Psalm, a portion of Torah, or simply a few verses today, open the Book!

๐ŸŒ INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY โ€” LOVE IN ACTION

โ€œAnd now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.โ€
โ€” First Corinthians 13:13 KJV

Today, on International Day of Charity, we are reminded that biblical charity is more than simply givingโ€”it is love put into action.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ September 5 was chosen to commemorate the passing of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who devoted her life to serving people living in poverty and distress. Her life reminds us of the profound impact one person can have when they choose to serve others with compassion.

๐Ÿ‘ฃ As followers of Yeshua, we are called to do more than speak about loveโ€”we are called to live it.

๐Ÿ“– Yeshua teaches us to love our neighbors, care for those in need, encourage the weary, and serve with humility.

Today, ask yourself:

โ” Who can I encourage?
๐Ÿคฒ Who can I help?
๐Ÿ™ Who needs to experience the love of God through my actions?

Let our charity be an expression of the love we have received from Yeshua.

๐Ÿ™Œ May our hands serve, our hearts give, and our lives point others toward Adonai.

โ€œAnd it will come to pass, that from one New Moon to another, and from one Shabbat to another, all flesh will come to bow down before Me,โ€ says Adonai. โ€” Isaiah 66:23 TLV

There is coming a day when all flesh will bow before Adonai. From New Moon to New Moon, from Shabbat to Shabbat, the nations will gather in worship before the King. ๐Ÿ‘‘ ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ

TESHUVAH: RETURN TO ADONAI WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART ๐Ÿคฒ

Teshuvah means returning.

In the biblical sense, it is more than simply feeling sorry for our sinsโ€”it is turning our hearts back toward Adonai and returning to Him in obedience, submission, and love.

โ€œTake words with you and return to Adonai. Say to Him: โ€˜Take away all iniquity, and accept what is good, so we may repay with offerings of our lips.โ€™โ€ โ€” Hosea 14:3

Teshuvah is an invitation to come home to God. ๐Ÿคฒ

As followers of Yeshua, we recognize that genuine repentance produces a changed direction.

We turn away from what separates us from God and turn toward Him, trusting His mercy and choosing to walk in His ways.

Teshuvah says:

โค๏ธ I return to You, Adonai.
๐Ÿ™ I submit my will to Yours.
๐Ÿ“– I choose obedience to Your Word.
๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ I receive Your mercy and walk forward in love.

Our return is not merely wordsโ€”it becomes a life surrendered to God.

Today, let your heart return to Adonai. Come with honest words, a willing heart, and a desire to walk faithfully with Him through Yeshua the Messiah.

Teshuvah:
๐Ÿ‘ Return.
๐Ÿ‘ Submit.
๐Ÿ‘ Obey.
๐Ÿ‘ Love.
๐Ÿ‘ฃ Walk with God.
