AUCatholic The Catholic Community at The American University in Washington, DC

AU Catholic Student Association focuses on developing the faith of students, and strengthening our campus community. We focus on doing so through several activities such as bible study, small group meetings and daily mass. We supplement the unity of our community through monthly community dinners in the Kay Spiritual Center lounge.

“When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.“ - Acts 2:1-4

Today is Pentecost Sunday, where we celebrate the birth of the Catholic Church! The Holy Spirit came to dwell in us, drawing us closer to the Father and the Son, accompanying us and advocating for us throughout our whole lives. This Pentecost, take some time to reflect on the meaning of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in your own life.
