"DID YOU KNOW?" 🤔

Did you know we have a waiting list for families wanting to rent a cabin during Camp week???
Renting a cabin is a fun way for new families to see what Camp is like. We love that new people join our special Camp tradition, and when it includes sleeping out, its the full Camp experience! If you are not planning to stay in your cabin this year, would you consider renting your cabin to another family? Please let us know!

DID YOU KNOW??? 🧐
Shortly before the beginning of the 20th century, in an era when campmeetings were springing up in many places, our founder, Dr. I. A. MacDannald got the vision to start a campmeeting in the beautiful wooded area which we now occupy. The first camp opened with nineteen tents on Thursday evening September 7, 1892.

In 1905 the Central Manor Campmeeting Association was formed. In the same year the first tabernacle-twenty feet by fifty feet was built and action was taken to build a dining hall.

Update from B&G chair Lynn Nissley about Lucas Pavilion project:

“We are planning to remove the asphalt shingles from the Lucas Pavilion this weekend in preparation for replacement. To preserve camp funds, we are looking to do the removal as a volunteer effort. This roof is not steep, and not very high. Therefore, it's a great opportunity to invest in the camp property by donating a few hours of labor.

We are planning to start Friday evening from 5:30 pm - 8pm or so to get a jump on it, and to accommodate volunteers’ busy Saturday schedules.
We plan to finish on Saturday morning.

Please plan to help us either Friday evening or Saturday morning. Many hands will make light work of the project.

Please message if you have any questions.

Looking forward to seeing you this weekend!

Lynn & (Adam)”
