"Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
~James 4:13-15 ESV

Good morning! "God's will, not mine, be done." He knows. I don't. His way is perfect. His timing is perfect. Living in this moment, according to His will, is the way to go! Thank You for this important message as I begin my day today, Lord. A lot of thought and fretting can go into making decisions MY way. I admit that, at times, I forget to include You. Please help me to always remember and follow You! Bless this day. Be with the leaders of our great nation...ALL of them. Help them to know You and seek Your will, Lord. The whole world is in Your hands! I love You. AMEN.

Have a great day! Bless others and be blessed!

“Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him all creatures here below;
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts;
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost!”
~Thomas Ken

Good morning! What an absolutely beautiful morning it was this morning! I went out first thing to check on “everyone” and water if necessary. As I walked around enjoying the cooler temperature, the little wind moving the flowers, and the blue sky, I began to feel tiny sprinkles of rain! At first, it wasn’t enough to even call it a shower…just a sprinkling. It was a pleasant surprise and added to the joy of my “visit”. I praised God in that moment for sprinkling those blessings on me. Ahh, but then He does that every day in different ways…I’m filled with gratitude! Thank You, Lord, for the blessings that flow from You, Your grace and goodness! I praise You for this beautiful creation You’ve given us and for You full presence. Please help me to live a day that is pleasing to You, Lord. Let me be mindful of Your directions and leadings in all matters…thoughts and actions. May Your will be done in this day, Lord! I love You! AMEN.

Have a great day! Bless others and be blessed!

Good morning! This morning, I share Paul's prayer found in Ephesians 3:14-19. I pray this for you and for me.

“So, I bow in prayer before the Father. Every family in heaven and on earth gets its true name from him. I ask the Father with his great glory to give you the power to be strong in your spirits. He will give you that strength through his Spirit. I pray that Christ will live in your hearts because of your faith. I pray that your life will be strong in love and be built on love. And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love—how wide, how long, how high, and how deep that love is. Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with everything God has for you.” AMEN.

Have a great day! Bless others and be blessed!

"God, grant me the serenity to accept
the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
and Wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right
If I surrender to Your Will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with You
Forever and ever in the next.
AMEN."

Good morning! The Serenity Prayer. "AMEN" means "so be it" and the period after the "Amen" means it's not a question, not an unended thought, but a bold agreement that if I trust God, He will make all things right. Reasonably happy today...supremely happy with Him forever and ever. What more could I ask for? Serenity, Courage, Wisdom, Trust and Surrender. Lord, I lift my heart and soul to You...I surrender. YOU know...I don't. YOU can...I can't. YOU see the big picture...I see the here and now. Please help me to live the life You've planned for me, Lord. Please keep me humble and in Your will. You are awesome and I love You, thank You and praise You! Here's my day...have Your way! AMEN!

Have a great day! Bless others and be blessed!

"This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it."
~Psalm 118:24 ESV

Good morning! This pic was taken on a short walk yesterday! Glorious gifts of beauty. God-pictures of peace and serenity. Moments of deep gratitude. Rejoice. Be glad. Be grateful. Thank You, Lord, for each day. Help us to find the beauty in each one. It's easy on a day like this, Lord. Help us to look deep and find beauty in all days, in all moments. Lord, I read this morning about "getting yoked up with You". Help us to look to You to help us carry whatever load we're dealing with. I am weak...YOU are strong! I praise You in each moment, Lord. I love You. AMEN!

Have a great day! Bless others and be blessed!

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
~1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV

Good morning! I have a good friend who always tells us to memorize verses so we can have them in our hearts when needed. I am grateful to have this passage stored in my heart. Some thoughts: Rejoice always (not because of particular conditions but because of God's constant love); pray without ceasing (let your heart conversation with God flow); give thanks in all circumstances (not necessarily "for" all circumstance, but "in" all of them); for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (this is what God wants for us). Lord, thank You for arming us with Your word. Help us to store more and more in our hearts. I thank You for leading us through difficult times. I thank You for the ability to love even when frustrated with life situations. Fill us with flowing prayer and love today, Lord. I love You! AMEN!

Have a great day! Bless others and be blessed!

"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up."
-James 4:10 NIV

Good morning! How do we humble ourselves? What exactly does that mean? When we come to God just as we are...no better than or no less than. We are people of extremes....either we're just the best in our own minds or we give ourselves negative messages constantly. "Egomaniacs with inferiority complexes". Taking a good look at ourselves, a "fearless and moral inventory" which includes the negatives AND positives, we become aware of our spiritual condition. We come to God and lay it before Him and THEN He can work on us and through us. Yes, it's a process and sometimes not an easy one, but it's so worth it!
Thank You Lord for helping us on our journeys to becoming a better people. Thank You for showing us. Thank You for loving us...flaws and all! Thank You for Your Grace when we misstep and need Your help in getting back on track. You are awesome, Lord, and I love You, thank You and praise You! AMEN!

Have a great day! Bless others and be blessed!

"WHAT'S ON MY MIND? Always...my friend, Tim Lease, desperately needs a living liver donor. I ask that you search your heart and come forward if you can help. Please I also ask that you share this with your friends...and ask them to share it with their friends.

This is a portion of an earlier post from Lancaster Bible College...it quotes Bridge (Tim's wife):

“To survive, he needs a liver as soon as possible,” she said. “We were asked by his doctors to search for a living donor because traditional liver availability is scarce, and the wait for that will likely take too long. We are hoping and praying that God can make a way and do a mighty work.”
Bridget also shared the following information for those who would be interested in learning more about being a liver donor for Tim:
• VISIT Penn Medicine’s Living Donor Liver Transplant webpage to learn more and/or register to see if you’re a match.
• CALL the Penn Medicine Transplant Team at 215.662.6200. When requesting information, calling or registering, please mention the potential recipient: Timothy Lease, birth date 10/8/1958.
• CONTACT Bridget or Tim at 717.490.3824 / 717.917.1628 or [email protected] / [email protected].

According to John Hopkins Medicine, more than 17,500 patients in the U.S. alone are waiting to receive a liver transplant. A live liver donor must be in good physical and mental health, be between the ages of 18 and 60, have a body mass index (BMI) of less than 32, have a blood type compatible with the recipient and be free from certain diseases, such as significant organ diseases, cancer, hepatitis or active or chronic infections, among other considerations. “Living donors also need a strong support system to rely on for emotional and physical needs during recovery,” John Hopkins reported.

Listen to moving messages of gratitude and also messages of hope as individuals share in these "pop-up interviews" what they are grateful for and also share what they would say to someone who is struggling in their recovery as we approach Thanksgiving Day. Often the holidays are a difficult time for many that are struggling with alcohol and drug addiction and this podcast gives evidence that there is hope that you can indeed be successful in recovery with God and that your life can be dramatically changed.
