Join us this Sunday at St. Luke Church as we kick off our 2026 Summer Outdoor Series, “Mysteries of our Faith.”

We’ll be exploring Creation, miracles, near-death experiences, and more as we dig into some of the most fascinating questions of the Christian faith.

Our first gathering of the series is this Sunday at 9:30 am (outdoors, weather permitting), with breakfast at 9:00 am.

The Summer Outdoor Series happens on the 1st Sunday of each month, June through September 2026. Bring a friend, a lawn chair, and an open heart as we worship, learn, and wonder together.

Come join us this Sunday and be part of the conversation!

Most of us have had seasons where we think, “If I stopped showing up, would anyone even notice?”
That quiet feeling of being invisible can be really heavy.

This short clip uses a simple starfish story to flip that script. What looks small or meaningless to you might be exactly what keeps someone else going—and it’s a reminder that God does see you and your effort, even when other people don’t.

In this season of your life, would you say you feel more “seen” or more “invisible,” and why?

Most of us hope we’d be willing to do “whatever it takes” for the people we love, but very few of us will ever face a moment where stepping forward could actually cost us everything. That’s why stories of soldiers running toward gunfire, or throwing themselves on a gr***de so others can live, hit us so deeply.

In this short clip, we hear the line, “Greater love cannot be imagined than this, that one will die for one’s friends,” and then a jarring claim: warfare is impossible without great love. It’s a paradox that doesn’t fit neatly into slogans about heroes and villains, but it does force us to reckon with a kind of love that’s stronger than fear—and to ask how that same Christ‑like love might play out in our own, quieter choices.

As you watch, take a moment to think about the people you love most and the fears that still hold you back.
If it ever came down to it, which feels truer of you right now—you’d step forward no matter the cost, or you’re not sure you could?

One donation can save up to 3 lives. Will you help Lara and others in our community?

Blood is separated into red cells, plasma, and platelets—so one donation can help multiple patients who need life‑saving care.

Lara Cubbage (Persing), 46, is in remission from leukemia, and her treatment still requires frequent blood and platelet transfusions. This blood drive helps replenish the blood bank for Lara and others in our community.

If you’ve ever led a project, a ministry, a team at work, or even just tried to hold a family together, you probably know what it feels like to be the one “pushing the bus” while others ride along and complain from their seats.
In this clip, we use that bus analogy to talk about a hard truth: it’s always easier to wish you could let the bus roll back down the hill and be done with the complainers—but that’s not how real unity is built.
Instead, unity grows when we decide to take responsibility for people, even when they frustrate us, and to keep pushing because every person on that bus still matters to God.
When you think about your own life right now, where are you pushing the bus—and what helps you keep going instead of giving up on the people who make it harder?

There are seasons when you can’t shake the feeling that you’re walking through life by yourself—like everyone else has someone or something to lean on, and you’re just trying not to fall apart.
This message reminds us that we’re not actually abandoned: the Spirit of Truth lives within us, and God’s arms are open like a mother hen’s wings, ready to comfort and steady us even when we’re fumbling our way through.
He may feel far, but He isn’t. The distance we feel is often more about our fear and exhaustion than about His presence.
When you look back on your life, can you see times when you felt alone in the moment but later realized God had been closer than you thought?
