To prepare for All Saints and All Souls Day, there will be two priests hearing confession at St. Leo this afternoon from 5:00 to 5:45pm.

From 1–8 November, Catholics can obtain a plenary indulgence for souls in Purgatory by devoutly visiting a cemetery and praying for the dead, fulfilling confession, Communion, prayer for the Pope, and complete detachment from sin.

Each year, the Church grants special indulgences for the faithful departed during early November. These indulgences can be applied only to souls in Purgatory.
To gain the plenary indulgence:
Visit a cemetery and pray for the dead, even mentally and to fulfill the four conditions: Holy Communion, Prayer for the Pope’s intentions (e.g., one Our Father and one Hail Mary), Complete detachment from all sin, even venial.

All Souls’ Day Indulgence (Nov. 2)
A second plenary indulgence is possible by:
Visiting a church or oratory
Reciting the Our Father and the Creed
Fulfilling the same four conditions.

Find Catholic Mass, confession, and adoration times near you. Read Catholic news, daily readings, the Bible, prayers and novenas, saints, and guides.
