Mother St. Teresa came to Kentucky in the late 1980s as a new community began in Jenkins, Kentucky. I was blessed to be able to meet her. In the top photo is St. Leo parishioner, Chris Ware, holding one of his daughters.

The top photograph Mother St. Teresa was given a basket of Jeanne’s Spice Cookies also a dozen roses. By the way, Jeanne Sledd is standing right behind her. She said to everyone, “I prefer the cookies to the roses,” which had everyone laughing. The lesson is that if you have a sweet tooth like Mother Teresa, you can as well become a saint!
