This Sunday at VUMC + Twilight Festival Needs

This Sunday, we continue our journey through the Book of Acts with a message called “The Church Is Born” from Acts 2:22–47.

After the fire falls at Pentecost, something incredible happens: people don’t just have a spiritual experience—they become a new kind of community.

We’ll look at what made the early Church healthy and why healthy churches don’t happen by accident.

Healthy disciples build healthy churches.

Acts 2 gives us four marks of a healthy church:

Worship. Community. Generosity. Mission.

We’ll ask some important questions:

Are we simply attending church, or are we becoming the Church?

Are we waiting for someone else to create a healthy church, or are we becoming the kind of disciples who make one possible?

Come worship with us this Sunday!

Twilight Festival — Saturday, September 12

One of our biggest community outreach opportunities of the fall is coming up fast!

We’ll be at the Twilight Festival on Saturday, September 12, and we need lots of help throughout the day.

Volunteer sign-ups are available at the Welcome Table.

We’re also asking the congregation to help us gather supplies for our booth. Please consider bringing:

* 2-liter bottles of Coca-Cola
* Sprite
* Diet Dr Pepper
* Candy
* Coolers we can borrow for the event

You can bring donations to the church over the next few weeks.

This is a great opportunity for us to get outside the walls of the church, meet our neighbors, have some fun, and show our community what it looks like to Love Like Jesus.
