Kentucky lost one of its great voices this week.

Wendell Berry spent a lifetime reminding us to pay attention to the land beneath our feet, the people beside us, the places we call home, and the small acts of faithfulness that hold a community together. His Christian faith was woven through that vision. We are grateful for his life and the Kentucky soil that helped form him.

Rest in peace, Wendell Berry.

This September, FCC is joining churches from around the world to spend Sep 6-13 in constant, hourly prayer. You can participate wherever you are at that time - home, work, school, etc. We will even have a specified Prayer Room available at the FCC building during designated hours throughout the week.

The theme for this global event is “At the Name of Jesus,” and as we pray, we “want to acknowledge that Jesus is Lord over all the earth.” FCC will be praying specifically within the hours of 6am-9pm each day of the week, and you are invited to sign up for one or more time slots during the Global Week of Prayer at the following web address: https://signup.24-7prayer.com/signup/c85043
