Our Vision Statement
In 1992, as Reverend Griggs was preparing to graduate from bible school God laid
the following on her heart. “I’ve called you to set the captives free and to teach
those who are already set free.”
Exodus Ministries call was to be two fold. First to witness to the lost the love of
Christ and the salvation that is available through Him. Second, to teach believers
how to l
ive by faith, who they are in the Body of Christ, and how to walk in the
abundant life Jesus provided for us. We share the gospel message through various outreaches; jails, women’s groups,
newsletters, and one on one with individuals. Exodus Ministries endeavors to teach those already set free by teaching and
preaching the Gospel to the Body of Christ. Teaching the basics including faith,
prayer, the importance of knowing the word of God, healing, and knowing who
they are in Christ. We meet this goal by preaching the word in pulpit ministry,
workshops, and seminars. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25)
There is one true Godhead comprised of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-5,10-14; Matthew 28:18-20). Man’s only hope of redemption is through the blood of Jesus Christ and his work on the cross. We can be justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, for it is by grace that we are saved through faith. (Romans 3:24; John 3:3; Ephesians 2:8)
We believe if a person confesses with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believes in their heart God raised Jesus from the dead, they will be saved. (Romas 10:9-10)
We believe in the ordinance of baptism in water. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Acts 10:47-48). We believe in the Lord’s Supper (2 Corinthians 11:24-25,28), and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts2:4,38; !0:44-46; 11:14-16; Galatians 5: 16-26). The church is the body of Christ, an integral part of the general assembly and chuch of the first born, whose names are written in Heaven (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:10-22; Hebrews
12:23) and we who are born into His body have a blessed hope that Jesus is coming again to gather all His Saints to ever be with Him (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal seperation from the Godhead, and shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the Lake of fire (Revelation 19:20, 20:10-15). We believe the scriptures promise the return of our Lord Jesus Christ with His
saints from Heaven to rule and reign for one thousand years on earth (2Thessalonians 1:7; Revelations 19:11-16, 20:1-6). Then there shall be a new Heaven and a new earth (Revelations 21). Griggs
Rev. Sarah J. Griggs, president of Exodus Ministries, is dedicated to teaching and
preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through pulpit ministry, workshops, seminars, and ministry in jails, she presents biblical truth in a practical and applicable way. Sensing God’s call to prepare for vocational ministry, she attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During her course of study she experienced ministry in a wide variety of settings, including a mission trip to Peru and neighborhood witnessing. Since then, she has worked both in and out of churches. Reverend Griggs has served in
various positions in churches such as treasurer, board member and teacher for Children’s Church. She also has been a guest preacher for various churches and ministries. In addition to teaching Bible studies, she is currently assistant chaplain at Shawnee County Adult Detention Center, in Topeka, Ks. In 1992, Rev. Griggs stepped out in obedience to God’s call by founding Exodus
Ministries. She has been faithful to the direction God has charted for the ministry, to “Set the captives free and teach those who have already been set free.” With a passion for reaching the lost and equipping the “found,” she ministers the uncompromised word of God in power and love. A lifelong Topekan, Rev. Griggs received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washburn University.
