Exodus Ministries, Inc. "Called to set the captives free and teach those who have already been set free." What We Believe:
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Meet Rev.

Our Vision Statement
In 1992, as Reverend Griggs was preparing to graduate from bible school God laid
the following on her heart. “I’ve called you to set the captives free and to teach
those who are already set free.”

Exodus Ministries call was to be two fold. First to witness to the lost the love of
Christ and the salvation that is available through Him. Second, to teach believers
how to l

ive by faith, who they are in the Body of Christ, and how to walk in the
abundant life Jesus provided for us. We share the gospel message through various outreaches; jails, women’s groups,
newsletters, and one on one with individuals. Exodus Ministries endeavors to teach those already set free by teaching and
preaching the Gospel to the Body of Christ. Teaching the basics including faith,
prayer, the importance of knowing the word of God, healing, and knowing who
they are in Christ. We meet this goal by preaching the word in pulpit ministry,
workshops, and seminars. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25)
There is one true Godhead comprised of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-5,10-14; Matthew 28:18-20). Man’s only hope of redemption is through the blood of Jesus Christ and his work on the cross. We can be justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, for it is by grace that we are saved through faith. (Romans 3:24; John 3:3; Ephesians 2:8)

We believe if a person confesses with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believes in their heart God raised Jesus from the dead, they will be saved. (Romas 10:9-10)

We believe in the ordinance of baptism in water. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Acts 10:47-48). We believe in the Lord’s Supper (2 Corinthians 11:24-25,28), and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts2:4,38; !0:44-46; 11:14-16; Galatians 5: 16-26). The church is the body of Christ, an integral part of the general assembly and chuch of the first born, whose names are written in Heaven (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:10-22; Hebrews
12:23) and we who are born into His body have a blessed hope that Jesus is coming again to gather all His Saints to ever be with Him (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal seperation from the Godhead, and shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the Lake of fire (Revelation 19:20, 20:10-15). We believe the scriptures promise the return of our Lord Jesus Christ with His
saints from Heaven to rule and reign for one thousand years on earth (2Thessalonians 1:7; Revelations 19:11-16, 20:1-6). Then there shall be a new Heaven and a new earth (Revelations 21). Griggs
Rev. Sarah J. Griggs, president of Exodus Ministries, is dedicated to teaching and
preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through pulpit ministry, workshops, seminars, and ministry in jails, she presents biblical truth in a practical and applicable way. Sensing God’s call to prepare for vocational ministry, she attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During her course of study she experienced ministry in a wide variety of settings, including a mission trip to Peru and neighborhood witnessing. Since then, she has worked both in and out of churches. Reverend Griggs has served in
various positions in churches such as treasurer, board member and teacher for Children’s Church. She also has been a guest preacher for various churches and ministries. In addition to teaching Bible studies, she is currently assistant chaplain at Shawnee County Adult Detention Center, in Topeka, Ks. In 1992, Rev. Griggs stepped out in obedience to God’s call by founding Exodus
Ministries. She has been faithful to the direction God has charted for the ministry, to “Set the captives free and teach those who have already been set free.” With a passion for reaching the lost and equipping the “found,” she ministers the uncompromised word of God in power and love. A lifelong Topekan, Rev. Griggs received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washburn University.

‭‭James‬ ‭1:2-3‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”

When you’re going through trials it’s usually not fun. But we can be in peace knowing that God is faithful and will bring us through every trial in victory as we trust in him. I encourage you to keep the faith and press on as God leads you through just as he has time and time again. Be blessed!

Galatians 5:16 KJV
"This I say then, Walk in the spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."

Walking in the spirit is the key to overcoming the flesh. Your flesh is often screaming out trying to get you to do what you know is not right. But if you will follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit within you, you won't be dominated by the pressure your flesh tries to put on you. As you listen to the voice of God through his written word, and through the Holy Spirit, you will overcome temptation. I encourage you to press in to God and let him guide you. You are blessed!

Dear Friends of the Ministry,

I hope this message finds you well and in good health. Things here at Exodus Ministry are busy as I prepare for our upcoming workshops. This year, we will be hosting six workshops, with the first one scheduled for May 30, 2026, which is the weekend after Memorial Day.

Our first workshop is titled “The War on Words.” This workshop will explore the spiritual battle we face and the significant role our words play in determining victory or defeat. Many believers are unaware of how important their words are and have fallen victim to the misconception that “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” Unfortunately, this belief can lead to harmful consequences. It is essential to understand that our words can indeed have a profound impact on our lives.

I hope you will consider joining me:

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Many times we as humans try to figure out how everything is going to work for us. We spend countless hours thinking about things that are quite frankly out of our control. But this passage of scripture tells us not to lean on our own understanding but look to God. When we look to God he will direct us and keep us. He will show us what we need to see, and lead us where we need to be. Be Blessed!

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10:4-5‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Today I want to focus on the latter part of these scriptures. All kinds of thoughts will come at you and try to distract you, discourage you and even kill you. You can’t stop the thoughts from coming but you can refuse to think on them. When harmful thoughts come to you, you must immediately take them captive and say I refuse to dwell on that. I encourage you to take control of your mind and counteract every negative thought with the word of God and a positive thought. In doing so you will gain victory and be blessed!

‭‭John‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭NIV
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Though there be turmoil and trouble all around us we can choose to be at peace. We can be at peace knowing as we trust in Jesus he will bring us through every trial with victory. I encourage you to rest and accept the spirit of peace Jesus has given to you. Be Blessed!

Proverbs‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all your paths.”
‭‭

The enemy tries to tempt you to do things that aren't right, yet your flesh desires. He will tell you things like, it's ok no one will know. You were treated badly it's ok to do the same. And countless other lies he will tell you to get you to sin. But I encourage you to stand firm and do the right things not giving in to the enemies lies. You are strong and you are blessed!

‭‭John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

When we're going through problems we sometimes wonder, why am I going through this? Or where is God? The truth is, there's evil in this world and a devil who fights against you. But thankfully we have a God that has overcame him. As we trust in God, he gives us the victory over everything we face. I encourage you to turn to God and cast off fear because you are victorious and blessed!
