ACTIVITIES MOVING INDOORS FOR UNITY WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
Due to the expected still-hot temperatures Wednesday night September 9, we'll be moving drumming and reflection activities inside to the sanctuary for the Unity World Day of Prayer events at 3701 Bayless Avenue. So, no labyrinth walks, either - sorry! Please join us beginning at 6:00 p.m. then stay for the 7:00 p.m. live-streamed opening service from Worldwide headquarters.

Celebrating Ms. Ann and the multitude of ways she has blessed our Unity community over the past 40+ years. Most recently, Ann has been our liaison to My People and takes our donations of personal items to them every month. We love her generosity and how she gives of her many talents, time and treasure; we are proud to honor her with a leaf on our Tree of Life.

Activities for Wed. September 9 at 3701 Bayless Avenue:

6:00 p.m. -- Labyrinth Walk -- in parking lot
A labyrinth walk is an ancient, single-pathed spiritual practice. Walking the path can be a form of active meditation, helping to quiet the mind, focus on an intention, or find solace and clarity.

6:30 p.m. -- Drumming -- in parking lot - bring your own chairs.
A drum circle is a spiritual practice to foster healing, self-discovery and communal connection. The drumbeat symbolizes the heartbeat of the Earth and can connect people to deeper spiritual states and each other.

7:00 p.m. -- Livestream -- in sanctuary at Unity South
Opening Ceremony, Unity Day of Prayer Service at Unity Worldwide Headquarters

As you await World Day of Prayer in September 2026, we invite you to use these reflection questions to contemplate in your quiet time:

1. How can I commit to making stillness a daily practice, even if it feels challenging at first?

2. What messages of wisdom or guidance might be waiting for me in the stillness?

3. How has time spent in stillness empowered us to move through life with greater clarity, courage, and purpose?

4. What does it mean to “be still and know,” and how might you I allow the Infinite to reveal deeper truths in my life?

TIME FOR THIS YEAR'S FILLMORE FESTIVAL! This special day of celebration at Unity South will be Sunday, August 16. It commemorates the history, sacred traditions, and legacies of Unity founders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore. Plans call for special presentations during service, delicious food during Fellowship Hour and recognition for our volunteers and leaders who make Unity of St. Louis South the wonderful community that it is. Come join us!

BEAT THE HEAT!!!! Hot outside, but cool, cool air is blowing in our sanctuary. Join us for worship each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. or for Silent Unity at 11:00 on Thursdays!

WE LOVE TO BREAK BREAD TOGETHER! We have a whole lot of fun fellowship and get to try restaurants we might not normally go to otherwise. Our monthly lunches take place on the third Tuesday of each month. Our Friday Supper Club happens on the first Friday. OUR NUMBERS CONTINUE TO GROW! Reverend Le installed two new members on June 14th, Erin and Debbie. They've both been coming to services for a while and we’re happy to welcome them officially into our church community!

SPRING FUN-RAISER IS COMING SOON! Saturday, May 9th! The dinner is now sold out, but a few concert-only tickets will soon be available for the show, which begins at 7:15 p.m.

Our much-loved Sunday service musicians; Brian Clarke, Mitzi MacDonald, Tim Mead, Ashby Laws and Joe Rohlman, plus the Unity South Singers, will perform. There will be a crafts sale, a 50/50 prize draw and several really great raffle prizes, too, in addition to free attendance prizes.

Raffle prizes include:
* Fishing excursion with Joe Richardson, then him preparing a meal from the catch for you!
* Personalized, musical voicemail greeting from Mitzi MacDonald
* Hair service and products from Theresa Crane of Renditions Salon
* Massage Service / Spa Kit from Kristin Miller of Evelyn James Massage.

We welcome Christina Lupis as our newest prayer chaplain! Unity Prayer Chaplains are trained lay leaders who provide spiritual support to the congregation through holding sacred space, compassionate listening, and affirmative prayer. Christina has made a commitment to pray with people after services, do monthly wellness calls, and hold all information in strict confidentiality.
