Three in one. One in all. And a seat saved just for you this Trinity Sunday. ✝️

Matthew 28 ends with a promise that hasn't expired: "I am with you always." That's not a sentiment. That's a commission. Jesus speaks those words to a group of people who had just been through the hardest season of their lives — and he sends them out anyway. Not when they had it all figured out. Not when the doubt was gone. Right then, in the middle of it.

Sound familiar?

This Sunday we're sitting with those words together, alongside Paul's closing blessing in 2 Corinthians — a benediction so simple it almost sneaks past you: be restored, be encouraged, live in peace. Grace, love, and fellowship, all at once. Three persons, one God, one people trying to find their way back to whole.

That's Trinity Sunday. That's the message. And that's where Rev. Alyssa Spradlin is taking us.

She's back in our pulpit this week to bring the message "Be Restored," and if you were here the last time she preached, you already know — clear your morning. This is worth your time.

Central Christian has been part of the fabric of Springfield for generations. People have brought their grief here, their questions here, their kids and their doubts and their hard-won faith here. 🕊️ The Spirit doesn't wait for permission. Never has. 🔥

Pentecost Sunday is the birthday of the Church — the moment in Acts 2 when wind filled the house, tongues of fire rested on shoulders, and a ragged group of waiting people became something the world hadn't seen before. Two thousand years later, that same Spirit is still showing up in communities that make room for it.

Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is one of those communities.

Rev. Alyssa Spradlin is back in the pulpit with "By the Holy Spirit" — Acts 2 and 1 Corinthians 12 — and if you've heard her preach before, you're already clearing your calendar. Our music department is ready. The sanctuary in Midtown — over a century of Springfield history in those walls — will be full of people who actually mean it when they say everyone belongs here.

🌎 The world feels divided. Jesus prayed for unity. 🙏

This Sunday at Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), we gather for the Seventh Sunday of Easter — and the words of John 17 have never felt more timely. Hours before the cross, Jesus lifted his eyes to heaven and prayed. Not for himself. For his people. For unity. For the ones who would come after.

Guest minister Rev. Alyssa Spradlin returns to our pulpit this week to preach "Made Known" — a message about what it means to truly be known by God, and to know him in return.

🌿 As we celebrate the Sixth Sunday of Easter, we welcome guest pastor Rev. Alyssa Spradlin to the pulpit!

Rev. Spradlin will be sharing a message from John 14:15-21 — a passage where Jesus offers one of His most intimate promises to His disciples:

"I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you."

Across every generation, every grief, and every unanswered question — that promise has held. Come Sunday, and let it hold you too.

We are so proud to honor Irelynn Holst, our beloved Choral Scholar, as we celebrate five years of her extraordinary gift to our choir and congregation. On her final Sunday with us, Irelynn will perform special music alongside The Chancel Choir. This is the kind of Sunday morning with music that stays with you long after the service has ended.
