When conflict broke out in Iran, Eurasia workers in surrounding countries were urged to evacuate — leaving behind the homes and communities they had built on the field. Scattered across Turkey, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and India, they faced the very real financial weight of last-minute flights, temporary housing, and rent with no clear end in sight.

But they didn't stop being global workers. In one apartment building, a family searching the world for something more moved in alongside displaced workers — and gave their lives to Christ right there in the uncertainty.

They simply carried the mission with them. If you'd like to help cover the unexpected costs these workers are facing, consider giving today. 🙏

Have you ever considered going on a missions trip to Estonia?
We'd love to invite you on a short-term trip — where you'll get to pray with people, share the gospel, and come alongside long-term workers doing faithful work in some of the most unreached places on earth.

Visit wideopenmissions.org/opportunities?r=eurasia&t=trips&s=Estonia to learn more about these opportunities!

Missions doesn't look the same for everyone — and that's the point.
Our workers in Estonia are using every gift, hobby, and platform they have to build genuine relationships with the Estonian people. Café hours. Game nights. Knit nights. Coffee cuppings. Whatever opens a door.

Because real discipleship starts with real connection. God uses all of it.

Russia is home to 88 unreached people groups — 22 of which are unengaged unreached, meaning no known missionaries work among them.

These are communities where the gospel has yet to take root — Muslim, Buddhist, and Shamanist backgrounds in some of the most remote and spiritually dark regions on earth.

Will you pray with us?
Pray that the gospel breaks through. Pray for disciples to be made. Pray for churches to be planted and multiplied — even in the places that feel the most impossible. 🙏

Driving through a snowstorm in the dark, deep in the Muslim regions of Russia, a global worker and her husband questioned whether the trip had been worth it. They had wanted to visit a few families one last time before heading back to the States — but the conditions were brutal and the road was long.

When they finally arrived, they shared a meal with a devout Muslim family. It was a heavy moment watching the couple's 9-year-old daughter cover herself to perform the Muslim prayer ritual and proudly share that she had fasted for three days during Ramadan. But after the meal, as the men and women separated into different rooms, something beautiful happened.

The global worker was able to pray over Aisha, the wife, for healing in Jesus' name from the chronic pain she had long suffered. Meanwhile, her husband walked Aisha's husband through the entire gospel — and at the end, they prayed together, with a strong and unmistakable sense of God's presence filling the room.

It was a long drive through a storm to get there. But these are places where the name of Jesus has never been honored, and these workers count it a privilege to bring it. Please keep this family — and workers like these — in your prayers. 🙏

Micah and Taylar Smiley, serving in Tallinn, Estonia, have both resumed their language studies in an effort to grow in their ability to communicate in Estonian.

Their whole team has taken on more language acquisition with a big vision in mind — that one day even their small groups can be held entirely in Estonian.

Investing in language is investing in people, and the Smileys know that speaking someone's language is one of the most powerful ways to share the love of Jesus.

When global workers answer the call to serve, they don't just cross borders — they reshape their entire lives, including how they speak, how they think, and how they connect with the communities they are called to reach.

Out of the Smileys' ministry efforts in Tallinn, their team has formed two small groups made up of people engaging with the gospel for the very first time.

These are spaces where curious hearts are encountering the love of Jesus, asking honest questions, and taking their first steps toward faith. Micah, Taylar, and their team are intentionally walking alongside each person in these groups — with the ultimate vision of planting a church amongst the people of Estonia, led by locals who have come to faith through this very process.

Russia global workers recently visited a family that had experienced a terrible tragedy, spending time with them, loving on them, and praying over them — a beautiful picture of the gospel in action.

These are people who have not had the opportunity to say yes to Jesus, and moments like these are a reminder of why the Gospel Access vision matters. Please join in praying that the Church would be established in these places that have no access to the gospel.

Currently, there are 1,099 unengaged people groups in Eurasia alone — and Eurasia workers are committed to bringing the light of Jesus to every one of them.

We are interceding for the unreached people of the Caucasus region in Russia — and this prayer says it all. In this video, a global worker prays in Russian over these unreached communities, asking the Lord to open hearts, open homes, and open the way for workers to go into these places where the gospel has yet to take root.

Will you join in this prayer? The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few — pray with us that God would make a way for His name to be known in the Caucasus.

So many incredible things happened during Holy Week at Focus Church in Tallinn, Estonia!

The Smileys, Eurasia Northwest workers serving in Tallinn, witnessed 250 people in attendance — and personally saw three friends they had been praying for walk through the doors of a church for the very first time. And all three expressed a desire to know more about Jesus. On top of that, 12 people were baptized!

God is doing an incredible work at Focus Church as they look ahead to planting a church in the Kristiine neighborhood together.
