Almighty and everlasting God, increase in us the gifts of faith, hope, and charity; and, that we may obtain what you promise, make us love what you command; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

O most merciful and mighty God, your son Jesus Christ was born of the Blessed Virgin Mary to bring us salvation and to establish your kingdom on earth: Grant that Michael and all your angels may defend your people against Satan and every evil foe, and that at the last we may come to that heavenly country where your saints for ever sing your praise, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Today we celebrated St. Francis Day Pet Blessings at St. John’s with an outdoor service in our Memorial Garden.

We were delighted to bless 16 dogs and 1 cat and to give thanks for the joy, companionship, and love our animals bring to our lives. The weather was perfect, and it was a wonderful afternoon together.

Thank you to everyone who brought a beloved pet and joined us for this special celebration of God’s creation.

Don't forget the St. Francis Day Pet Blessing, Saturday at 11am rain or shine!

Almighty and everlasting God, you are always more ready to hear than we to pray, and to give more than we either desire or deserve: Pour upon us the abundance of your mercy, forgiving us those things of which our conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things for which we are not worthy to ask, except through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ our Savior; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
