A WORD FROM PASTOR Jeffrey Stoneking.
🇺🇸 As we approach Election Day on November 3rd, we encourage everyone to take time to understand the issues on the ballot and consider how these decisions may affect our families, communities, and future generations.
As Christians, our convictions should be shaped by God's Word, and our civic responsibilities should be approached with prayer, wisdom, and a commitment to truth.
Here are three important issues Missouri voters we need to consider:
📌 AMENDMENT 3 — ABORTION AND MEDICAL PROCEDURES FOR MINORS
This amendment would and should restrict abortion with specified exceptions, and prohibit gender-transition procedures for minors that are set to expire in 2027.
These issues raise important questions about the protection of unborn life, parental responsibility, medical care, and the welfare of children.
I will be voting YES on this amendment.
📌 AMENDMENT 6 — THE CITIZEN INITIATIVE PROCESS
This amendment would expand constitutional protections for Missouri's initiative petition process and make it more difficult for the legislature to change or repeal laws enacted through that process. Changes would require approval by at least 80% of both legislative chambers under the proposal.
I will be voting NO on this amendment.
📌 PROPOSITION A — CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT BOUNDARIES
This proposition asks Missouri voters whether to approve a congressional redistricting plan enacted by the General Assembly in 2025. A YES vote approves the new boundaries; a NO vote leaves the 2022 boundaries in place.
I will be voting YES for Proposition A.
ELECTED COUNTY SHERIFFS 🚓
Protects the constitutional election of county sheriffs. Establishes the sheriff's constitutional duties and responsibilities. Changes the process for removing an elected sheriff, requiring the Attorney General to initiate removal proceedings.
I will be voting YES on Amendment 8
OUR RESPONSIBILITY
I believe it is important to be informed, to pray for our leaders, and to take our civic responsibilities seriously. Please read the actual ballot language, examine reliable sources, and make an informed decision.
