“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” — Romans 15:13

There have been times in my life when I have felt much like Peter and the other disciples. They had doubts, fears, questions, and many misunderstandings about what God was doing. Yet when Jesus asked, “Are you going to leave too?” Peter gave a remarkable answer:

“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

I have been there. I have felt that way. There have been moments when I didn’t understand God’s plan, when circumstances were confusing, and when faith felt difficult. But like Peter, I keep coming back to the same conclusion: where else can I go? Jesus alone has the words of eternal life.

Today, if you are struggling with doubts, fears, or unanswered questions, remember that faith is not having all the answers. Faith is continuing to trust the One who does.

May the God of hope fill your heart with joy, peace, and an overflowing hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Bruce Page - Because We Must -

There are moments in ministry that are very visible…and others that happen quietly, almost unnoticed. Lately, much of my ministry has consisted of conversations that take place through a computer screen–encouraging someone who feels hopeless, praying with a person carrying deep pain, or helping ...

No matter how far someone has wandered… God has not abandoned them.

“But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for Him with all your heart and soul, you will find Him.” — Deuteronomy 4:29

Sometimes people drift because of pain, disappointment, sin, weariness, or simply the slow distractions of life. Yet God’s heart is always calling people home.

Deuteronomy 4:30 reminds us that in distress, when we turn back to Him and listen to His voice, He receives us.

Jesus painted this picture beautifully in the story of the prodigal son in The Gospel of Luke. After wasting everything and walking far from his father, the son finally decided to return home. He expected rejection, shame, and punishment. Instead, while he was still a long way off, his father saw him, ran to him, embraced him, and welcomed him home with joy.

That is the heart of God.

Jesus also said, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Home with the Lord is not a place of condemnation for the repentant heart. It is a place of rest, peace, mercy, forgiveness, and love.

If your heart feels far from God today, take courage. You are not beyond His reach. Search for Him with all your heart… and you will find Him waiting with open arms.

Come on home!

Just a reminder for someone who may need this today:

You do not have to carry tomorrow all at once. Sometimes life feels heavy. Questions about the future, family struggles, health concerns, financial pressure, disappointment, loneliness—it can all pile up quietly on the heart.

But God has not asked you to figure out your whole future today. He simply asks you to trust Him with the next step.
The same God who carried you through yesterday is still faithful today.

If your heart is tired, pause for a moment and breathe this prayer:
“Lord, give me strength for today and peace for what I cannot control.”

You are not forgotten.
You are not abandoned.
And this season will not last forever.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

Nobody likes to wait—especially when your in pain!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” – Psalm 27:14

If we’re honest… that’s not easy.

When life gets hard…
when pain shows up…
when answers don’t come…

We want God to move now.

And that’s understandable.

But David—who knew fear, pressure, and uncertainty—says something that feels almost impossible in those moments:

Wait.

Not just wait…
but be brave and courageous while you wait.

And then he says it again:
Wait patiently for the Lord. Why? Because delays are not the same as denial. Almost always, when God seems slow, He has a reason.

The hard part? We don’t always get to know that reason right away. So faith, in those moments, looks like this:

* trusting when we don’t understand
* standing when we feel weak
* waiting… even when everything in us wants to rush ahead

If you’re in a waiting season today, you’re not alone.

Stay steady.
Stay courageous.
God hasn’t forgotten you.

He’s working—even in the waiting.

“I don’t ever want to do that again….but I keep doing it!”

It’s easy to look from the outside and think it’s just about willpower. But the Bible describes something deeper—a battle happening inside a person.

“I do not do the good I want to do… but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.” (Romans 7:19)

That’s not weakness. That’s a war.

Many people trapped in addiction aren’t proud of it… they’re fighting it. Quietly. Repeatedly. Painfully.

Before we judge someone’s struggle, it might help to understand what they’re up against.

Have you ever felt that kind of inner battle in your own life? Jesus gives us hope!

Please join me in prayer for a woman I am currently writing to in La Paz, Bolivia. She shared these words:
“Oren por mí, estoy pensando sobre si debo vivir o morir.”
(“Pray for me, I am thinking about whether I should live or die.”)

Let’s take a moment right now to pray for her.

"Lord, You see her. You know the depth of her pain and the thoughts she is carrying. I ask that You surround her with Your peace, protect her, and bring light into this dark moment. Remind her that her life has value and purpose. Lead her to the right people who can support and help her. In Jesus’ name, amen.
If you’re reading this and have ever felt this way, please know—you are not alone, and your life matters. Please reach out to someone you trust."

What if I told you God has never missed a single tear you’ve cried?

“You keep track of all my sorrows. You collect all my tears…” — Psalm 56:8

David wrote this while surrounded by pressure and fear—yet he said:

“When I am afraid, I will trust in You.” (v.3)
“This I know: God is for me.” (v.9)

If today feels heavy, remember:
God sees every tear… and He is for you.

We hear the word “sin” all the time…
But who actually decides what sin is?

Is it culture?
Is it personal opinion?
Do I get to define it for myself?

At its core, sin is living like I’m in charge instead of God—
choosing my way over His… stepping outside the life He created me for.

And here’s why that matters:

If I determine what’s right and wrong,
then everything becomes flexible.
I can justify what I want… excuse what I feel…
and drift without even realizing it.

And some of the worse atrocities in history have happened because of someone doing that…

But if God determines it—
then there is a fixed standard.
Not to control me… but to protect me.
Not to restrict life… but to lead me into it.

Because sin isn’t just about rules—
it’s about direction.

And here’s the truth we don’t like to face:

“Sin will take you further than you want to go,
keep you longer than you want to stay,
and cost you more than you want to pay.”

Sin always pays… and the cost is higher than we think.

So before I brush it off or redefine it…
maybe I need to ask:

Who’s really deciding what’s right in my life—me, or God?

“I’m free. I can do whatever I want”“Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can...

“I’m free. I can do whatever I want”

“Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.” Romans 6:16

That’s what we tell ourselves…
But what if that’s not actually true?

Romans 6 says we are all controlled by something.
Whatever we choose to obey… that’s what ends up ruling our lives.

It might be habits you can’t shake.
Thoughts you can’t silence.
Desires that keep pulling you back.

We say we’re free—but are we really…
or just being controlled by something we don’t want to admit?

Here’s the tension:
Sin promises freedom, but quietly takes control.
God asks for surrender—but leads you into real freedom.

So before you keep scrolling, pause for a moment and ask yourself honestly:

What is actually controlling my life right now?
