Dear friends,
I drove to see Al in Remsen and then to Sioux City today. Driving for me is almost always full of prayer and thought. I was thinking thinking thinking about how I wish I could be so winsome to persuade various folks to finally surrender to beautiful Jesus. If I could do it for them, I would! But...If the Holy Spirit, who knows a person completely and works perfectly, hasn’t changed someone’s mind or heart, can I? And it’s not because He’s unable—it’s because He doesn’t override human will. We are free to choose. (free will is a beautiful gift!) We are free to not choose Him. He won't force us.

God persuades, convicts, draws, woos… but He doesn’t force.
That helps me to reframe my role. I very much want to help to convince, persuade, enlighten!!! Yet...

I'm not the one responsible for changing someone’s mind—I'm responsible for being faithful in what I say and how I live. I can be a witness and I can PRAY very much for them yet each person has to decide for themselves. I can make a pathway of truth with the Word of God that they either take to heart or not. I hope they do.
Jesus is coming soon.
I hope I planted a seed and I hope someone else will water it...
❤ I think about what 1 Corinthians 3:6 says:
Paul writes, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.”
