Sunday Reflection | When the Gospel Comes Home

This week we were reminded that the gospel is not just something we believe—it is something we live. Paul teaches that the first place God calls us to live out our faith is at home, among the people who know us best. Gospel-centered homes are built through humility, sacrificial love, and intentional discipleship.

Three Ways to Apply This Message This Week

1. Choose Service Over Self
Before asking, “What can my spouse, child, or family member do for me?” ask, “How can I serve them today?” The gospel teaches us to put the needs of others ahead of our own out of reverence for Christ.

2. Practice Christlike Love
Look for one practical way each day to demonstrate sacrificial love. Offer forgiveness, extend patience, speak encouragement, or meet a need without expecting anything in return. Christ loved us by giving Himself for us.

3. Turn Your Home Into a Place of Discipleship
Pray with your family. Read a verse together. Have a spiritual conversation around the dinner table. Small moments of intentional faithfulness can have a lasting impact. The goal is not merely raising successful families but helping one another follow Jesus.
