Brokenness is not the end of the story.

This Sabbath, we were reminded that God is still in the business of restoration. What the world sees as damaged, discarded, or beyond repair, God sees as a canvas for grace. He takes pain and creates purpose. He takes scars and turns them into testimonies. He takes ashes and brings forth beauty.

Through Dr. Hyveth Williams’ powerful message, “Something Beautiful Again,” we were challenged to remember that our broken places do not disqualify us from God’s love, His calling, or His purpose. In fact, some of God’s greatest masterpieces begin with broken pieces.

Like the art of Kintsugi, where cracks are filled with gold rather than hidden, God does not erase our stories. He redeems them. He weaves healing into our hurt, hope into our heartbreak, and beauty into the places we thought could never be restored.

A sanctuary filled with people. A room filled with stories. A God filled with grace.
No matter where you are on your journey, today was a reminder that your story is not over. Your wounds are not the final chapter. Your struggles are not the end of the narrative.

What God touches, He transforms. What God restores, He makes beautiful again.
❤️ From brokenness to beauty.
❤️ From pain to purpose.
❤️ From scars to testimony.
❤️ From despair to hope.
The same God who restores hearts is still restoring lives.

🎖️Hidden Heroes Among Us

On this special Sabbath, The Grace Place had the privilege of recognizing several remarkable individuals whose quiet faithfulness, compassionate service, and unwavering commitment have made a profound impact throughout the Michiana community.

Too often, the people who change lives do so behind the scenes, with little recognition and much sacrifice. Through our Michiana Hidden Heroes Awards, we paused to honor educators, counselors, ministry leaders, outreach workers, and community servants who embody hope, dignity, compassion, and service in action.

From equipping leaders for God's mission, to serving the homeless, shaping young minds, supporting those facing life's challenges, and caring for the vulnerable, these individuals remind us that true greatness is found in serving others.

As we celebrated "Something Beautiful Again," we were reminded that communities flourish because of people who faithfully answer God's call to love, serve, and uplift others every day.

The Grace Place continues the celebrating Immigrant Heritage Month
Throughout this month, we have celebrated the stories, cultures, resilience, and contributions that enrich our communities, speakers and members. Reminding us of God's heart for all people.

This Sabbath, join us for our "Come and See" Worship Experience & Fellowship Lunch as Dr. Hyveth Williams shares a message of restoration and hope:

Something Beautiful Again
Our scriptural inspiration is drawn from Luke 4:18–19
Inspired by the art of Kintsugi, this message reminds us that God does not discard what has been broken. He restores, redeems, and transforms our scars into testimonies of grace.

June is Immigrant Heritage Month at The Grace Place, and throughout this month we are celebrating the stories, cultures, experiences, and faith journeys that remind us we are stronger together than apart. This week, we turn our attention to one of the most powerful moments in Scripture.

At Pentecost, people from different nations, languages, and backgrounds gathered in one place, and the Holy Spirit met them there. What could have divided them became the very thing God used to unite them.
