Community is a gift from God. In fact, God Himself said, "It is not good for man to be alone." We were created for relationship, fellowship, and belonging.

But something is out of order when our desire for acceptance becomes greater than our commitment to truth.

Real biblical community doesn't ignore sin, excuse compromise, or remain silent when someone's life is headed in the wrong direction. It lovingly points people back to God's truth.

Truth without love can become harsh. Love without truth can become deception. The healthiest communities embrace both.

A few years ago, I shared a story about a high school that was overwhelmed with violence. The administration, teachers, and community were searching for answers.

Then a group of fathers decided to do something simple: they showed up.

They walked the halls. They greeted students. They paid attention. They were present.

The result? The atmosphere changed.

There's something powerful about the presence of a father.

Fathers don't have to be perfect. They don't have to have all the answers. But when they show up consistently—with strength, wisdom, encouragement, protection, and love—they change the environment around them.

Today, I want to honor the dads, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures who continue to show up for their families and communities.

Thank you for being there.
Thank you for caring.
Thank you for leading.
Thank you for showing up.
