If you belong to God, you are suppose to understand spiritual things. We are called to walk in, and be led by the Holy Spirit. He will teach us spiritual things.
Like how to try, test, prove, examine, and scrutinize the spirits.

1 John 4:

1 ¶ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

One of the loneliest experiences in a relationship is saying exactly what you mean and watching it go nowhere. 💔

Communication is a mind-to-mind exchange. For something to truly land, the other person's mind has to be present and open enough to receive it. A mind that's defended, distracted, or running its own unresolved patterns isn't available for that, regardless of how carefully you choose your words.

The quality of communication in any relationship is largely determined by the internal state of the people in it. Two people can have the same conversation and one of them never actually enters it.

All the right words in the world can't do anything with a closed mind.

It might be worth shifting the question entirely: is this person actually available to hear it? That question changes everything about what comes next. 💭
