Please join us. We are a vibrant multicultural parish in the heart of Seattle’s Central District.

Our Mission is to live the Gospel through worship, spiritual growth, and stewardship to show God's love to all. Immaculate Conception Parish was founded in 1891 on what is now the Seattle University campus. The cornerstone of the present church building was laid on May 4, 1904. Inside the church are beautiful paintings under the central dome and altar. In addition, hand painted frescoes and a side

chapel with a replica of the Grotto at Lourdes, France were completed in the 1930s. In 1974, the Immaculate Conception building was designated a Historical Landmark by the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board. Today, Immaculate Conception stands as Seattle’s oldest Catholic Church and is home to many African-American, Filipino, Vietnamese and Caucasian families, sharing their diverse cultural values and experiences. Immaculate Conception Church has a long history and we pray it will continue its role in the growth of the Church in Seattle.
