We are overwhelmed with gratitude to our Parish Family 12

Thanks to the generosity of so many of you, we have raised $5,070 toward our $10,000 matching goal for the St. Mark and St. Matthew Catholic Classical School Capstone Fund.

That is over halfway there and every single dollar was doubled the moment it was given. What a blessing this community is. 🙌🏿🙌🏽🙌🏻🙌

And there is even more reason to give right now. Next year, St. Mark and St. Matthew students are coming together as one school family, and the future of Catholic classical education in our parish has never looked more exciting.

What you give today is not just a donation, it is an investment in the children who will grow up together in faith, forming the next generation of our parish family.

This is how we build something that lasts.

But we are not done yet! The matching campaign has been extended until June 12th, which means there is still time to have your gift doubled dollar for dollar.

Every dollar you give before June 12th will be matched, and we still have nearly $5,000 in matching funds left on the table waiting to be unlocked.

If you have been waiting for the right moment, this is it. A $25 gift becomes $50. A $100 gift becomes $200. And together we can push this all the way to the finish line for our kids.

Click the link in the comments, to give before June 12th and help us make the most of every dollar that has been so generously offered on behalf of our combined school students. 🙏

St. Philip Neri The Apostle of Joy 🎉

"Cheerfulness strengthens the heart and helps us to persevere."

Today we celebrate St. Philip Neri, the 16th-century priest who turned Rome upside down—not with fire and brimstone, but with joy.

Philip understood something the world has forgotten: holiness is cheerful. Not fake-happy. Not prosperity-gospel positivity. But the deep, unshakeable joy that comes from a heart on fire with love for Christ.

Philip was so serious about this that he'd walk around with half his beard shaved off, wearing ridiculous clothes, just to remind people (and himself) that holiness doesn't mean grim severity. He even said: "Scruples and melancholy, stay away from my house."

This week, you can notice one moment where you chose anxiety over joy, or heaviness over hope. Then choose differently. Call a friend. Laugh at yourself. Pray with your whole heart instead of a worried mind. Let Philip's fire, the fire that literally broke his ribs in prayer, remind you that joy is not a luxury. It's a fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Phillip approached holiness with a fire in his heart and a smile on his face. We can try to do the same this week!

St. Philip Neri, pray for us. 🕊️

Join us for our Lenten journey starting tomorrow—Ash Wednesday at 9am or 7pm for Mass. We also have a 12 noon liturgy of the word with distribution of ashes. Checkout the calendar below:

Pope Leo XIV on Lent, "I would like to invite you to a very practical and frequently unappreciated form of abstinence: that of refraining from words that offend and hurt our neighbor. Let us begin by disarming our language, avoiding harsh words and rash judgement, refraining from slander and speaking ill of those who are not present and cannot defend themselves. Instead, let us strive to measure our words and cultivate kindness and respect in our families, among our friends, at work, on social media, in political debates, in the media and in Christian communities. In this way, words of hatred will give way to words of hope and peace."

"Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Grace and peace to you in Our Lord Jesus Christ. In these turbulent times — marked by conflict abroad, fragmentation at home, and profound questions about our shared moral life — the Church once again lifts high the Gospel as the light by which we must walk."
