John Chrysostom Byzantine Catholic Church is rooted in the family-oriented church of the first thousand years after Christ. We emphasize the qualities found in the Acts of the Apostles: unity in faith; communion in prayer and in the Eucharistic breaking of bread; and the common life of charity (in the ecclesial bond of love). The Byzantine Catholic Church is in full communion with the Bishop of Rome, and St. John’s is a parish in the Holy Protection of Mary Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Phoenix, under his Grace Bishop Gerald N. Back this year bigger and better, the annual Healing Pilgrimage for the Great Martyr and Healer St. Panteleimon returns July 24th-27th, 2026. Join us for a four-day pilgrimage of prayer, liturgy, and healing as we prepare to celebrate the Feast of St. Panteleimon (July 27). This sacred gathering draws from the deep wells of Byzantine Ruthenian tradition, inviting pilgrims into an encounter with Christ the Physician through the intercession of one of the Church's most beloved Unmercenary Healers. Bring friends and family to participate!
