The Discalced Carmelite Seculars of Savannah invite all to a special Mass on Saturday, July 11th at 9 AM at St. Mary's Chapel at the Catholic Pastoral Center.

Following Mass, there will be a brief explanation of the meaning and merits of wearing the Brown Scapular, after which Fr. Firmin will invite any adults, who are interested and have not been previously enrolled, to come forward for the enrollment ritual. Brown Scapulars will be provided as a gift.

Refreshments and fellowship will follow in the conference room.

The US bishops will consecrate the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus tomorrow, June 11th, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe in Orlando. A livestream will begin at 4 PM on the USCCB YouTube channel or at usccb.org/consecration-united-states-sacred-heart-jesus.

St. James will say a prayer of consecration at Mass on Friday, June 12th, the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart, at 8:30 AM.

On Saturday, May 9th, Fr. Patrick Lynch, MIC, (son of parishioners Griffith & Denise Lynch) was ordained to the priesthood at the National Shine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

Fr. Patrick celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. James on Sunday, May 17th, with a reception held afterwards in the Parish Center. Many gathered to congratulate Fr. Patrick and receive first blessings on this joyous occasion!

Our parish has prayed for Fr. Patrick for many years during his formation! We were so blessed to have him celebrate Mass with us!
