On Saturday afternoon, St. James hosted a Charging Forward reception at school. Sr. Joan and Brian Kennedy spoke about our capital campaign, and guests were taken on tours to see our beautiful campus. Everyone was in awe, and we had many alumni who could not get over the changes!

Fr. Firmin also spoke at each Mass this weekend about our final push for the campaign - Charging Forward to the Finish Line: Every Prayer, Every Gift, Every Family. We will wrap things up by the end of the year, and our prayer is that every family will be able to say that they contributed to this historic endeavor at St. James!

We will host another reception on Wednesday, September 9th at 6:30 PM, if you were not able to join us this weekend. Please RSVP to [email protected] if you plan to attend!

We had the best first day of school last week! Now we're a week in, and everyone seems to have settled into their routines! We know this is going to be the best year yet!

Congratulations to St. James alumnus and parishioner Cooper Winters on his enlistment oath to enter the United States Marine Corps at Marine Corps MEPS at Ft. Jackson in Columbia, SC! We are so proud of you, Cooper!

With a heart for servant leadership and a desire to serve his country, Cooper Winters (Benedictine Military School Class of 2026) swore his enlistment oath to enter the United States Marine Corps at Marine Corps MEPS at Ft. Jackson in Columbia, SC! He will leave for boot camp in late October or early November. Please keep him in your prayers as he enters this next chapter! Cooper, thank you for your service to our country! Your BC family is extremely proud of you!

Today, we concluded our first week of school with a beautiful all-school Mass! Father Firmin welcomed everyone back together, and preached about loving God above all else. Our choir sounded wonderful, and some of our National Junior Honor Society members read and brought up the gifts.
