⚡️ CHARGER SPORTS UPDATE ⚡️

What a great week for St. James Athletics! 💙🤍

🏈 FOOTBALL
Our JV Chargers battled SCPS Thursday night and came up just short in a close game.

Varsity followed with a BIG WIN, shutting out SCPS 12–0!

It was a fantastic night of football at our host school, St. Peter the Apostle, made even better by seeing so many St. James and St. Peter’s alumni, families and friends come out to support our teams. Old faces, new faces and a great night celebrating our Catholic school community and Charger and Ram pride!

🏐 VOLLEYBALL
Our 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams wrapped up their regular seasons this week.

We’ve loved watching these teams improve, compete and build stronger camaraderie throughout the season.

All four teams competed in the SPAL championship tournament today. Details to come soon!🏆

🏃🏻‍♀️ CROSS COUNTRY
The Chargers are back on the course next week!

Wednesday, October 7 at Benedictine

This morning, we wrapped up the week with school Mass! As today is the Memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels, Fr. Gabriel reminded us that our guardian angels are like our friends who are with us all of the time. We cannot see them, but we know they are always there, to protect us, guide us, and help us. God has given them to us because He loves us so much! By their example, we should also be friends to those around us.

At the end of Mass, we awarded our Disciples of the Month for September, who were recognized for demonstrating the virtue of peace. Congratulations to these students!

Kindergarten had an APPLEsolutely fantastic Apple Week last week! The students enjoyed fun apple-themed activities and tasty apple treats each day. Ms. Crowe showed her class how to make apple volcanoes with baking soda and vinegar, and then the class got to try the experiment with a partner! The classes joined together at the end of the week for apple tasting! 🍎🍏
