We are postponing our Membership Weekend.

Tropical Storm Isaias is threatening the Gulf Coast and will likely be a hurricane within the next few hours. The local school system has canceled classes for the rest of the week and the forecast puts Isaias making landfall Friday evening through Saturday morning somewhere between Biloxi and Panama City Beach.

Because of this, we are postponing our Membership Class. We hope are rescheduling it for October 23-24. That Sunday, October 25, is Confirmation Sunday with Bishop Martyn Minns.

Please reach out to the church if you need help as the storm approaches or after the storm. Be safe and say prayers!

The Eighteenth Sunday After Pentecost + September 27th + 10:30 a.m.

Jesus tells a parable that makes it plain - those who trust in their own righteousness go away unjustified, but those who come to God acknowledging their sin and seeking God's mercy, are, in Christ, righteous before God.

It's like what we say in our Prayer of Humble Access during Holy Communion:

"We do not presume to come to this your table, O merciful Lord, trusting in our own righteousness, but in your abundant and great mercies."

It's only when we abandon confidence in our own goodness and come with empty hands that we receive God's mercy and righteousness as his gracious gift to us.

It's going to be a wonderful day of worship! Please join us!

The Seventeenth Sunday After Pentecost + September 20 + 10:30 a.m.
This Sunday we look at the person and work of the Holy Spirit. Who is the Holy Spirit? What does he do? Is he personal? Is he powerful? Does he still move today?
Find out the answers to these questions and more on Sunday! Please join us!

The Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost + September 6 + 10:30 a.m.

Last Sunday we looked deeply at the Cross of Christ, as our Lord Jesus, God from God, light from light, true God from true God, who took on our flesh, was nailed to the cross for our redemption. Every sin on him was laid, and sin's power over us has been vanquished.

This Sunday we rejoice in his mighty Resurrection from the dead as death itself is defeated and its dominion over us is overthrown.

Join us for worship!
