Guided by Shinran Shonin's teachings and Amida's compassion, we recite Namo Amida Butsu in gratitude. The national headquarters for 61 temples in the continental United States of Jodo Shinshu Buddhist (Hongwanji-ha), which follows the Hongwanji in Kyoto, or more commonly known as Nishi Hongwanji. Over 100 years of history in the U.S. and is associated with the Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Temples of Cana

da and the Hompa Hongwanji of Hawai[i Mission. The National Headquarters also has a second location, BCA Jodo Shinshu Center at 2140 Durant Street in Berkeley, CA. Originally the organization was known as the Hongwanji Mission of North America.

Bishop Harada will be leading guided meditation sessions for Lion's Roar for the month of May (May 6, May 13, May 20, May 27). Sessions are at 8:30 AM (Pacific) each week. Link on the Lion's Roar website.

Meeting the Moment is a series of educational events sponsored by engaged Buddhist committees from BBT, MVBT, and BCO that consider serious social problems and the role that we play as Buddhist communities in addressing them.

For this session, Rev. Yoshii, Pastor Emeritus of Buena Vista United Methodist Church and Co-Chair of Friends of Wadi Foquin, will share about his recent protective presence trip to Wadi Foquin in the West Bank of Palestine. There will also be a discussion about the role of our spiritual practice in moving toward collective liberation.

Join us virtually for this year's workshops at the BCA National Council Meeting on Saturday, February 22nd! These public sessions are great for any temple leaders, current or aspiring, or anyone who is interested in learning more about Buddhist Education, Organizational Sustainability, Leadership Development, or Future Plans from the perspective of the BCA.

Additionally, the workshops will be followed by a Town Hall on Sunday. Feb. 23rd, and the annual Eitaikyo service a week later on March 2nd.
