Please pray for Amador Gonzalez, Jr., and his loved ones who mourn.
He is survived by many family members who love him.
Amador served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1946 as a radio operator. Following his Navy career he worked at Kelly Air Force Base, first as an electronics test equipment inspector, then an automatic checkout equipment analyst, and then an electronic measuring equipment quality control inspector.
He had a long, distinguished career working with the Federal Aviation Administration as an electronics technician. After retiring from the FAA, he continued working in a similar electronics technician capacity at Sea World, Fiesta Texas, and EG&G, Inc. (automotive research) until he retired from work in 1998.
Amador was a lifelong, devoted Catholic. He and Estella were longtime parishioners and choir members of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in San Antonio. He enjoyed gardening and talking to his bird. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman who, for over forty years, frequently enjoyed hunting and working on his property in Terlingua Ranch in the Big Bend with his brothers, sons, extended family, and friends.
