🔥 The Great & Terrible Day of the Lord 🔥

Revelation Chapter 4 brings us to a dramatic shift in God's prophetic timeline—the things that will happen on Earth after the Church is gone.

✝️ Believers leave the earth through the Rapture.

⏳ Then John begins revealing events surrounding a coming 7-year period unlike anything the world has ever experienced.

Scripture refers to this period in several ways, including “the Day of the Lord.”

📖 2 Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief…”

The “Day of the Lord” isn't describing a single 24-hour day.

Scripture uses this term for a period of God's judgment culminating in the destruction of the present heavens and earth.

😟 Anxiety Is Everywhere.

But Where Do You Turn? 😟

Today, anxiety is at an all-time high.

Many people turn to alcohol, pills, endless distractions, or other temporary solutions to quiet their fears.

But Jesus gives believers a different response.

📖 Matthew 6 doesn't begin with, "Don't worry." It begins with:

👉 "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness..." (Matthew 6:33)

So what does it mean to seek the Kingdom?

• 🙏 Stop and pray before you panic.
• 📖 Read a Psalm instead of reaching for another distraction.

🌎 What Happens After the Church Is Gone From the Earth? 🌎

The Church is "all believers" as a whole.

Many Christians know Revelation is about the future... but few realize there is a dramatic shift between Revelation 3 and Revelation 4.

In Revelation chapters 1–3, Jesus is speaking to and about the Church.

But beginning in chapter 4, John is told to come up, and the focus changes to the things that will happen "after these things."

What things?
👉 After the Church Age.
👉 After God's work through the Church is complete.
👉 After believers are removed from the earth.

So what happens next?
🌎 The Tribulation begins.
🔥 Hell on Earth begins for those left.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who Is Teaching Your Children? 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
Many parents, grandparents, and youth leaders shy away from the difficult topics in Scripture. They're uncomfortable. They're controversial. They're hard.

But here's the reality: Your children will be taught about these issues or see them.

The question is:
👉 Will they hear God's truth?
👉 Or will they hear the world's version first?

Our culture is discipling children every day through schools, social media, entertainment, and friends. If we remain silent because we think they're too young or the topic is too difficult, we shouldn't be surprised when many young adults walk away from the faith or question God's authority.
Scripture never tells us to avoid hard truths. It calls us to teach the whole counsel of God.
💡 Children need biblical answers.
💡 Teens need biblical answers.

The answer isn't less Bible.
The answer is more Bible.

👀 Why Does VBVMI Constantly Say "Live with Eyes for Eternity"? 👀
Because this life is not the end!
So many of us spend our days focused on what is right in front of us:
💸 Finances
🏥 Health problems
💔 Broken relationships
😟 Anxiety about tomorrow

But Scripture calls believers to look beyond the temporary and fix their eyes on what lasts forever.
📖 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 reminds us:
👉 Don't give up.
👉 Your body may be wearing out, but your spirit is being renewed daily.
👉 Your present troubles are temporary.
👉 Your future glory is eternal.

The world says, "Focus on your circumstances."
God says, "Focus on Me."

The trials you're facing today are not meaningless. God uses hardship to grow your faith, deepen your dependence on Him, and make you more like Christ. We can even be thankful for our struggles because they remind us that this world is not our home.

So don't let today's problems consume your vision.
Live with eyes for eternity.
Stay in the Word.
Depend on Christ.
Serve faithfully.

One day, you will stand before Him, and everything you're enduring now will make sense in light of eternity.

⏳ The Countdown Has Already Begun ⏳
All of Scripture points to a future day when history as we know it will come to an end.

As believers, we are told to watch the signs of the times:
• 🌍 Israel under Gentile rule
• ⚠️ Increasing sexual immorality
• 👨‍👩‍👧 Children openly disobeying parents
• 💥 Violence over political and cultural disagreements
• 🌪️ Growing natural disasters
• 👿 Increasing demonic deception and spiritual darkness

The world sees these things and fears.
The believer sees these things and remembers: God told us they would come.

For the Church, we eagerly await the return of Christ.
For those who reject Christ, judgment awaits.

❓ Are you ready?
❓ Do your children know Jesus?
❓ Does your spouse know Christ?
❓ Are you sharing the Gospel while there is still time?

Of the seven churches in Revelation, we believe we are living in the final church age before God begins pouring out His wrath upon the earth.

Now is not the time to be lazy or scared.
Now is the time to know God's Word, live for eternity, and proclaim the Gospel.
