Maybe you, like the prodigal son, find yourself in “a distant country”; you’ve attempted to enjoy the Father’s gifts and while neglecting His presence.

Sunday - September 20th - come back to yourself and come back home to Camphor as we celebrate the miracle that is homecoming.

Praise the Lord that we can always return without shame, without fear, without judgment. No matter how distant we ever find ourselves we’re always welcome in the loving presence of God, His church, and His people.

What happens when your comfort is challenged by your calling?

In last Sunday’s message on Esther, Pastor Cynthia Williams reminds us of a king with immense wealth and immense power—so much power that with one royal decree, the lives of millions could be threatened.

Sound familiar?

Esther found herself face-to-face with a question that we, too, will encounter throughout our lives:

Will our comfort determine our identity, or will our identity shape our courage?

Sometimes faith calls us to move beyond what is comfortable, familiar, or safe and courageously become who God has called us to be.

What is your identity asking you to have the courage to do?

Then, join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM for worship as we continue our sermon series, Stories of Faith Everyone Should Know. Come hear another story of faith and discover what it has to say to us today.

We’d love to worship with you!

“I knew God had called me to ministry at 16.”

But instead of saying yes, Rev. Petty ran.

“I was too young.”
“I hadn’t lived enough.”
“I hadn’t seen enough of the world.”

Sound familiar?

In the opening of his message, “Jonah: You Can’t Outrun God,” Rev. Petty challenges us with a simple but powerful question:

Have you ever been on the run?

Not from the police—but from a calling. From obedience. From the very thing God has been asking you to do.

The truth is, we can come up with every reason to delay God’s purpose. But like Jonah, we eventually discover that God’s call is persistent, His grace is patient, and His plans are always better than our excuses.

If you’re searching for hope, direction, or simply a place to encounter God, we’d love to welcome you.

Join us this Sunday at 10:30 AM as we continue our series, Stories of Faith Everyone Should Know, and discover what these timeless stories still have to say to our lives today.

Sometimes, God shows up in the places we least expect.

When God sent Elijah to a widow in Zarephath—a town in Jezebel’s homeland—it challenged every assumption about where God’s provision and presence could be found. Through a widow with seemingly nothing to offer, God revealed His strength, reminding us that He often works through human weakness to accomplish His purposes.

Pastor Cynthia Williams reminds us that the wilderness is not where God abandons His people. It’s often where He reveals who He truly is.

Join us tomorrow at 10:30 AM as we continue our sermon series, Stories of Faith Everyone Should Know, and discover what these familiar stories still have to teach us today.

The wilderness is a place of profound biblical significance, and it asks of us one question: Who will you trust when what or who previously sustained you is no longer enough?

Pastor Cynthia breaks this down in her most recent sermon in our Stories of Faith Everyone Should Know series based on the theme “The Wilderness is Not Wasted”.

In Sunday’s message, guest preacher Steve Belton reminded us through the story of Hagar and Ishmael that God’s presence and favor flow from trust in God. Even in uncertainty, abandonment, and fear, God remained faithful to His promise.

As Steve shared, “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in the Lord, and the Lord will act” (Psalm 37:5).

Trust isn’t pretending everything is okay. It’s choosing to believe that God’s Word is true even when your circumstances suggest otherwise. Hagar didn’t know how God would provide, but God met her in the wilderness, saw her need, and made a way.

Whatever you’re carrying today, keep trusting. God sees you. God is with you. And God is still at work.

Join us this Sunday, June 28 at 10:00 AM as we continue Stories of Faith Everyone Should Know and discover how these ancient stories still speak to our lives today. We’d love to worship with you at Camphor.

A little throwback for your timeline! 🎓✨

As you can see, education has always been something we celebrate at Camphor. These graduation photos of a couple of our staff members and their families are a reminder that every educational journey is worth honoring.

Now it’s your turn.

This Sunday, we’ll be celebrating the Class of 2026 and recognizing the educational achievements of students across our Camphor family. Whether you’re graduating from preschool, high school, college, earning a degree, certification, or completing another milestone, we want to celebrate with you!

And everyone can join the celebration! Wear your school pride by repping your high school, college, or university with a T-shirt, sweatshirt, jersey, or other school gear. Let’s fill the sanctuary with the schools and communities that helped shape us.

Join us for Celebration of Education Sunday at 10:00 AM as we thank God for the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 and pray blessings over the road ahead.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! We can’t wait to celebrate all that you’ve accomplished. 🎉🎓
