He came in on a donkey.
Welcomed with palms. Praised as King.
But when Jesus revealed a different Kingdom, everything changed.
The crowds turned.
Voices shifted.
And the same people who welcomed Him began to call for His death.
And still, He chose the cross.
For us.
This is Holy Week. The week that changed everything.

Over the last four Sundays, we’ve gathered to light the Advent candles.

Marking time. Deepening hope. Preparing our hearts for Christ’s coming. With each candle lit, the light has grown and so has our anticipation.

We are just days from Christmas. A season full of traditions, noise, and hurry. And yet, Advent invites us to slow down while the world rushes past.

As a church, we know this year has held many things. For some, grief or heartache. For others, faithfulness and joy. As we’ve reflected together, we’ve sensed the Lord inviting us not to rush past the waiting, but to sit in it. To trust Him there, together.

There is no anticipation without waiting. No longing without the space between promise and fulfillment.

As Advent comes to a close, may we remember that we wait not because God is absent, but because He is faithful.

The women of The Crossing Church gathered in Tahoe expecting rest — and experienced breakthrough. Lives were transformed, chains were broken, and we experienced the power of a living God in a brand new way.

We’re still in awe of His goodness, His faithfulness, and His presence among us.
