Our words matter.

James reminds us that the tongue may be small, but it reveals something much deeper—the condition of the heart.
We’ll ask a challenging question:
Does the person people hear outside the church match the person they see inside the church?
Come worship with us and discover the hope we have in Christ—not merely to clean up our words, but to transform the heart they come from.

Are You Really Listening?
The Way of Jesus | Mark 4:1–20
In Mark 4, Jesus tells the familiar story of a sower scattering seed. The same seed falls on every kind of soil, but it produces very different results. The problem was never the seed—it was the condition of the soil.
The same is true of God's Word. We live in a world that increasingly wants to customize truth—accepting what feels comfortable, rejecting what confronts us, and reshaping Scripture to fit our desires. But God's Word does not need to be changed; God's Word changes us.
Jesus calls us to more than simply hearing His words. He calls us to receive the Word, allow it to take root, and bear fruit through a transformed life.
We don't need to add to God's Word, subtract from it, negotiate with it, or customize it. We simply need hearts willing to say:
“Speak, Lord. Your servant is listening.”

Have you ever felt distant from God, too busy or too broken to find your way back? This week's message reminded us that God never moves -- we do. Like Jacob, who encountered God at Bethel and still spent years wrestling with his own pride and plans, we often know about God without truly living for Him.

The call this morning was simple but powerful: go back to Bethel. Go back to the place where you first encountered the living God. Whether life has gotten too busy, too blurry, or too loud, God is still speaking -- asking the same question He asked Peter: "Do you love me? Then follow me." (John 21)

As we gathered around the Lord's table, we were reminded of the staggering cost of Christ's sacrifice -- and the invitation to stop wrestling with God and fully surrender to Him.

Are you living for yourself, or living for God? There is no better day than today to go back to Bethel.
