Sandy Springs First Baptist Church Seeking to know Christ and make Him known!

What kind of people does Jesus call?
In this powerful passage, Jesus approaches Levi—a despised tax collector—and invites him to become a disciple. While others saw a sinner, a traitor, and an outcast, Jesus saw someone worth saving. Levi's life is transformed by a simple invitation:
"Follow Me."
As Jesus sits at a table surrounded by tax collectors and sinners, He reveals the heart of His mission. He did not come for those who think they have it all together. He came for the broken, the weary, the guilty, and the lost.
Join us as we discover that God's grace is greater than our past, that Jesus specializes in calling ordinary people to extraordinary purposes, and that there is still room at His table for anyone willing to come.
Key Truth:
Grace meets people where they are, but never leaves them where they are.
Scripture:
Mark 2:13–17

The Way of Jesus
Sermon Title:
Come to the Table
No matter your past, your failures, or your story, the invitation of Jesus remains the same: "Follow Me."

What if your greatest need isn't what you think it is?
In Mark 2, four determined friends carry a paralyzed man to Jesus. Unable to get through the crowd, they climb onto a roof, tear it open, and lower their friend into the presence of Christ.
Everyone expected Jesus to heal the man's body.
Instead, Jesus addressed something even deeper.
Join us this Sunday as we continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark in our series:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord...
Jeremiah 29:11
That wording would look excellent on the graphic and gives it a warmer church-family feel than simply "Graduate Sunday."

There are people in this world everyone avoids.
The broken.
The rejected.
The ashamed.
The isolated.
But in Mark 1:40–45, we see the heart of Jesus revealed in a powerful and unforgettable way.
A l***r approaches Jesus—an untouchable man rejected by society—and instead of turning away…
Jesus reaches toward him.
Join us this Sunday as we continue our series “The Way of Jesus” with a message titled:
“Moved With Compassion”
Discover:
the compassion of Christ
the touch that changed everything
how Jesus still moves toward broken people today
