Merry Christmas to all! unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given.

Don’t forget about our Candlelight service at 5 PM tonight. Hope to see you there as we celebrate the greatest gift of all.

Don’t focus on the problems and failures of others. Focus on God’s assurance of victory.

If you have trouble praising God with a song in your heart as you serve Him, it may be that your focus is not on God, but on your circumstances.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

A fish desires to swim. God's answer is the fin. A bird desires to fly. God’s answer is the wing. A man desires to live again. God’s answer is the Resurrection!

JESUS is alive and that changes everything!

Hope you are remembering the resurrection on this Monday!!!

It’s the night before the resurrection.

The tomb is sealed shut by a heavy stone and the guards are to be on alert.

Part of the city was relieved that this so called “Savior” had been put to death, while the other part was grieving the loss of their blameless King.

But little did they know, that Sunday was coming.

Sunday was coming and the stone would be rolled away.

Sunday was coming and a sad and silent Saturday would be no more.

Sunday was coming and the Savior would reign forevermore.

Sunday was coming and death would be defeated.

Sunday was coming with proclaiming shouts of “Hallelujah! Jesus is risen!” for You had conquered the grave.

Sunday was coming and we would finally see that a horrifying crucifixion followed by a miraculous resurrection would forever be the hope of today and tomorrow and the next day and the day after that.

And because Sunday came, we can rejoice that His death was not in vain.

He arose so that we can live.

Death has lost.

And LOVE HAS WON.

Today is Thursday. Some call it Maundy Thursday.
Maundy comes from a Latin word that means “command” so it was named because of the command Jesus gave his disciples to love one another as I have loved you.
Today is another busy day.
Jesus celebrated the Last Supper, washing His disciples’ feet.
He entered the Garden of Gethsemane, which was actually an orchard filled with Olive Trees.
Jesus prayed three times and was so fervent sweat droplets of blood fell from His face, all while His disciples slept.
Judas came to the Garden with 600 Roman soldiers and the Temple Police to have Jesus arrested and Peter cut off one of their ears.
We aren’t exactly sure at what point Thursday ends and Friday begins, so there may have been even more that happened before the official end of the day.

Today is silent Wednesday of Holy Week. There was lots of noise in Jerusalem as many travelers prepared for Passover. The Pharisees were furious with Jesus and decided their only way out was to resort to violence and were scheming as to how they would arrest my Jesus and put him on trial. It is called silent Wednesday because scripture doesn’t tell us much of what Jesus did on this day. I believe he was spending time in prayer with the Father preparing for what was to come in the next two days. At sundown He would have the Passover meal with the disciples. What exactly Jesus did on that day is unclear but Jesus himself rested in the fact that God the Father would provide. What was provided through what transpired was everlasting life and the greatest sacrifice ever made. God provided even in the darkest of moments. God still provides today if we only trust in Him.
