Grace Lutheran Church

Grace Lutheran Church Grace is the kind of place that looks beyond the building to serve the neighborhood, city, and world. Sounds good? It is!

Grace is the kind of place where you are greeted by name and babies are passed around to share the love. It is also the kind of place that looks beyond the building to serve the neighborhood, city, and world. On this website you will find a congregation that is thankful for everyone's gifts, has a sense of humor about itself, and exists to live and share God's grace. Whether you're a visitor, some

one seeking a church or a member, we hope this website will encourage you to be a part of Grace Lutheran.

STEWARDS OF GOD'S LOVE
The 2026 stewardship ministry team is being called to help us all look at stewardship with new eyes. To that endeavor, we are utilizing a tool produced by the ELCA for doing year-round stewardship ministry called Stewards of God's Love. It is organized into four major emphases: DOWN, IN, OUT and Annual Financial Response. We will highlight these thorough four worship services and intergenerational Sunday School lessons this year by reading Bible verses and engaging in creative experiments together as a faith family. We welcome your input and ideas.
To learn more, speak with any member of the stewardship team and visit
www.ELCA.org/growingstewards.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS ASSESSMENT
Spiritual Gifts: We had an incredible time learning about spiritual gifts, especially through the ELCA survey that helped us identify our own. Spiritual gifts are a great way to discern how we can serve in the various ministries at Grace. We invite you to learn about your spiritual gifts by completing the following survey:https://www.womenoftheelca.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Spiritual_Gifts_Assessment.pdf Once you have completed the survey, please let Amy Eskridge know of your top five spiritual gifts. We would love to keep that information in our database and on a chart for the congregation. Printed copies will be available in the narthex on the table by the bulletin board.

GRACE ANNOUNCEMENTS
May 24, 2026, Day of Pentecost
INTRODUCTION:
Pentecost derives its name from the Jewish festival celebrating the harvest and the giving of the law on Mount Sinai fifty days after Passover. Fifty days after Easter, we celebrate the Holy Spirit as God’s presence within and among us. In Acts the Spirit arrives in rushing wind and flame, bringing God’s presence to all people. Paul reminds us that though we each have different capacities, we are unified in the Spirit that equips us with these gifts. Jesus breathes the Holy Spirit on his disciples, empowering them to forgive sin. We celebrate that we too are given the breath of the Holy Spirit and sent out to proclaim God’s redeeming love to all the world.

Third Sunday of Easter

INTRODUCTION:
Today’s gospel begins with two disciples walking to Emmaus, overcome with sadness, loss, and disappointment. They had hoped Jesus, who was crucified, would be the one to redeem Israel! Yet the risen Christ walks with them and then opens their eyes in the breaking of the bread. Each Sunday our hearts burn within us as the scriptures are proclaimed and Christ appears to us as bread is broken and wine is poured. The story of Emmaus becomes the pattern of our worship each Lord’s day.

Synod Assembly Lay Members: We are looking for two lay members to attend this year's Synod Assembly at Triumphant Love in Austin on May 1st, from 1 pm- 5 pm, and May 2nd to 9 am - 4 pm. There is an option to attend either in-person or on Zoom. We would like to encourage lay members who have not had the opportunity to attend Synod Assembly before to learn about our commitment to the Southwestern Texas Synod. Please reach out to Pastor Hephzi for more details and to express interest. The church covers the registration fee for two lay participants.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS ASSESSMENT
Spiritual Gifts: We had an incredible time learning about spiritual gifts, especially through the ELCA survey that helped us identify our own. Spiritual gifts are a great way to discern how we can serve in the various ministries at Grace. We invite you to learn about your spiritual gifts by completing the following survey: https://www.elca.org/our-work/congregations-and-synods/faith-practices/spiritual-renewal/spiritual-gifts-assessment-tool. Once you have completed the survey, please let Amy Eskridge and Pastor Hephzi know of your top five spiritual gifts. We would love to keep that information in our database and on a chart for the congregation. Printed copies will be available in the narthex on the table by the bulletin board.

GRACE LUTHERAN'S LITTLE FREE FOOD PANTRY
The Little Free Food Pantry is being used consistently. In order to concentrate our resources, the Stewardship Team has decided to focus our food collection efforts for the Little Free Food Pantry instead of the Serving Center at this time. Grace’s neighbors are making donations to the pantry as well as members of Grace and friends of our congregation. The Stewardship Committee wants to thank everyone for their donations to the Little Free Pantry. Please keep the donations coming!

*Grace continues to give a quarterly monetary donation to the Round Rock Area Serving Center.
