🌋 Our mind is like a volcano.

Without realizing it, we often accumulate tension, frustration, anger, and other mental defilements. If we do not learn to let them go, they can erupt at any moment, burning our inner peace and hurting those around us. The key is not to suppress this energy, but to clear it away peacefully. Through the steady practice of mindfulness and meditation, we can eradicate these defilements and cultivate an unshakeable calm.

If you’ve been looking for a way to reduce stress and restore your inner calm, join us for a deeply restful afternoon in Vienna! Led by experienced Buddhist monks, this 90-minute immersive event will guide you through powerful, time-tested meditation techniques.

No prior experience? No problem. This is a welcoming space open to all beliefs, backgrounds, and lifestyles. Just wear comfortable clothes and bring an open mind (cushions and chairs are provided, but feel free to bring your favorite yoga cushion or water bottle!). 🌿

🌿 Sunday Evening Meditation Recap 🌿

Last night at Buddha Meditation Center DC, we gathered for a peaceful and meaningful Sunday evening meditation—a beautiful way to close the weekend and reset for the week ahead.

Together, we explored different styles of meditation, including:
✨ Mindfulness meditation – learning to stay present and aware in each moment
💖 Loving-kindness meditation (Metta) – cultivating compassion and goodwill toward ourselves and others
🧘 Insight meditation (Vipassana) – gently observing the nature of our thoughts and experiences

Each practice offers unique tools to help calm the mind, open the heart, and deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

🙏 Whether you joined us in person or are just discovering meditation, we’re grateful to share this journey of inner peace and wisdom together.
