New Hope is a small, diverse, and inclusive community of faith nestled on Bowie Mill Road between Olney and Derwood Maryland. New Hope is a small church with a big heart, a neighborhood church with a worldwide community. As a family of faith we seek to follow in the way of Jesus: to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God. We're committed to serving God in this world with our hands
, feet, voices, and hearts. Our community is welcoming of all persuasions and perspectives, individuals and families, type-A personalities and those who prefer to be in the background, those who have been Christian's since birth and those who are still navigating the mysteries of faith. We're a community that's incredibly diverse and loving, constantly striving to fully embrace what it means to be Christ's body in our own community. On Sunday you'll find us in worship at 11:00 a.m., a service that would be (mostly) described as traditional. Yet worship for us has moments of spontaneity and creativity. Anyone is welcome to visit, to participate, to journey with us in our own adventures of faith. That means we all know each other and you can't easily sneak out after worship, that we support each other through life's transitions, and that we are constantly growing together. We'll always make room at the table for others to join what we live to call the New Hope family. Denominationally we're part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the National Capital Presbytery.
