**Ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that you hear and understand what God is saying in His word.
**While listening and reading, underline anything that stands out or speaks to your heart.
**Journal: a) What does it bring to mind? and/or b) What might God be saying to me?
If you are having trouble thinking and writing, consider these queries: What insights do you learn about God and your relationship to Him? What insights do you learn about yourself and how you are changing and growing in Christ? What convictions have surfaced? What might God be saying to you?
**Write a prayer, and then pray it aloud to the Lord.
**If time allows, record your insights and revelations in a "Scripture, Thoughts, Prayer" format.

Now when David lived in his house, David said to Nathan the prophet, “Behold, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD is under a tent.” And Nathan said to David, “Do all …

GOD HELPS YOU SERVE WITH JOY AND NOT COMPLAINT
Joy is not based on circumstances but in remembering that we are new creations in Christ. John 16:33 is a reminder that believers will face tribulation in this world, but they can take heart because Jesus has overcome the world. We are loved, chosen, forgiven, and secure in Christ. We have been called to serve God with gladness instead of self-pity, discouragement, or spiritual exhaustion. Let us grow in joy as we keep before us the truth that we belong to God and He will never leave us. Even in tribulation, we can serve the Lord with gladness because Jesus has overcome the world.

LET GOD DEFINE YOU, NOT YOUR FEELINGS
Feelings are real, but they must never become our master or define our identity. Instead, believers are called to remember who they are in Christ, recalling that they belong to God, have been saved by Him, and are indwelt by His Spirit. As we anchor ourselves in God's truth rather than our emotions, we regain joy, peace, and purpose, enabling us to fulfill the mission God has given us.

GOD BEFORE ANYONE, EVEN YOU!
When anxieties arise in our day, we must learn to make our first response prayer and not panic nor other people right away. God desires first place in our heart, soul, and mind. We want to learn from 1 Peter 5:7 which is a reminder to bring every concern to the Lord. As we stay in the Word, stay in prayer, and stay out of besetting sin, the Lord continues to cleanse, guide, and strengthen us. Let us remember that Jesus is our unshakable peace and that true stability comes from keeping Him as our highest priority.

GOD IS CALLING YOU TO A CLOSER WALK
Victory over temptation requires a wholehearted love for God rather than a casual approach to Scripture and obedience. Regarding the food, we must also not become careless. We must stay willing to pray daily to maintain the disciplines that God has taught us to live out. Lasting victory is an intentional, daily, humble choice to avoid backsliding into old patterns. Let us pray to remember Matthew 22:37. As followers of the Lord God, we must love Him over and beyond the love we have for anyone or anything. Each day let us pray for long-term faithfulness and lifetime recovery.

GOD SEES WHAT YOU HIDE
True freedom begins with honesty before God. Proverbs 28:13, reminds us that hiding sin only keeps us in bo***ge, while confessing and forsaking it opens the door to God’s mercy and restoration. Whether the struggle is food, gossip, jealousy, envy, procrastination, or pride, believers are called to walk in the light, stay close to the Lord, and depend on His strength for victory. Let us pray to stop pretending. Let us surrender fully to God, and experience the freedom that comes through repentance and obedience.
