THE POWER OF JESUS’ NAME (Gratitude, Praise, Testimony)
After Peter tells a man to rise up and walk in the name of Jesus, though lame since birth, he is miraculously healed.The crowd is astounded, Peter boldly declares that the healing took place through the name of Jesus Christ, whom God raised from the dead. The message reminds us that God is still working miracles today and includes a personal testimony of God’s healing power. Most importantly, it emphasizes gratitude not only for physical healing but also for the greater miracle of salvation through Jesus Christ, leading believers to continually praise God and faithfully share His goodness with others.

BREAKING THE SIN CYCLE (Disobedience, Mercy, Stubbornness)
There is a tragic cycle repeated throughout the Book of Judges. The Israelites would turn away from God, suffer the consequences of their sin, cry out for help, and receive God’s mercy through a judge. Yet after the judge died, they quickly returned to their old sinful ways. Unfortunately, many people today, seek relief from the consequences of sin without seeking true heart change. Let us not keep having to learn the hard way. Let us repeatedly call to the Lord for the willingness and strength to break any destructive, spiritual cycle that we see happening in our lives. He can and will do it.

WAIT FOR GOD’S DIRECTION (Frustration, Presumption, Waiting)
Peter, uncertain about what to do while waiting for Jesus to appear again, returned to fishing, but caught nothing. Peter’s empty nets remind us that human effort apart from God’s direction can be fruitless. We must resist the urge to “do something” instead of prayerfully waiting on the Lord. Presumption and self-directed efforts can lead to wasted time and frustration. Let us pray to wait for God’s direction, and to trust Him to show us where to “cast our net.”

IT’S NOT TOO LATE! (Beginnings, Harden, Mistakes)
It is never too late to respond to God. We must not believe the devil’s lie that past failures have disqualified us from God’s best. Instead, we must listen and respond in the Spirit to God’s voice today. We remember what God speaks in Hebrews 3:15. We do not harden our hearts. Instead, we open the eyes of our hearts to see the Lord as the God of new beginnings. Let us surrender all regrets to Christ through Godly sorrow, and embrace His undeserved love. In this very day, let us resolve to live a life that proclaims His goodness and glory.
